Taliban Fighters do it for $6.00 a day.

A news cast just said that the Taliban fighters are now made up of unemployed men, that join up to make $6.00 a day.
Now the US is pouring Billions of dollars into the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. So I was thinking. Why doesn't the US start paying these guys $7.00 a day NOT to fight. At the end of the day all of the guys that didn't attack some innocent family or group of people, comes by and picks up his money. Seems to me that would stop a lot of violence, thus saving lives, property, and money in the long run. If we could get 3000 men to do this, it would cost the US $21,000.00 a day. A lot less than now, I'm sure.
If these men are truly doing it for the money and not their beliefs, wouldn't it be worth trying?

Because they aren't doing it for money. Simply offering poor people some money won't make them into a group of fanatical terrorists, there is some other factor that makes them hate enough to do what they do.

well i think they hav no budget to pay all those taliban army... hehe... and not all of them are doing this for money.. huhu.. its just no worth it to been paid $6 a day when u can just die, being shot, bombed any time.. so i think they dont do it for money...

Um. It wouldn't be worth it to YOU. It isn't worth it to ME. But we aren't desperate. We haven't been bombed back to the stone age. You have to look at it from THEIR perspective.

I love it! Not that it would ever happen. Stopping the fighting isn't the goal.

A politician and his money are NEVER parted. It'd be worth a shot, but It'd never happen. A better idea to win the war would be to let the military do its job.
