I have no time, I have no money

It's just so depressing, I mean, what is happening to me lately. I have no time for myself anymore and then I'm broke. Simply because of the feasibility study that I'm doing in school, I mean at this time I don't see it's worth. It is just a paper with some documents that after years of submission will be locked in the school library forever. I mean what is the point of doing all that stuff, I have sacrificed a lot of things because of that, I loss my online job because of focusing on that and now am thinking that it is not all worth it. Oh my, I'm in a terrible situation right now, because after the "defense", I'm into a major revision of the feasiblity study. I'm graduating this May and that is my final requirement. Do you have some experiences in your life wherein you have exerted too much effort and realizing in the end that it is not worth it?

faylinn, your feasibilty study is all worth it. trust me. i regret the day that i decided to give up on my thesis because i thought it's useless and so not worth my time. but then again i realized that i should have exerted more effort on it because by doing otherwise, i was not able to prove to myself that i am agile enough to take on such difficult challenges. i've really learned so much from that experience and it made me a better person- Someone who is not quick to give up no matter how difficult the situation is. HOPE you won't give up that easily. you can do it! remember, the most successful people such as einstein had undergone several failures before finally attaining success. ;) good luck!

yes.... World of Warcraft. Hours and hours of working on my character's armor and weapons... Then the expansion comes out and my items become obselete after the first 10 minutes of playing the expansion. I learned after that to never obsess over that game. Kudos to sticking it through with school. Sometimes I feel like there's no point in me being in school because I don't need a degree with what I wanna do. However it helps exercise my mind, open up my thoughts, and make me well rounded person. I think it'll be something good to fall back on that I got a degree.

I feel like I'm always working all the time, yet I still never have money. Bills are always larger than my paychecks. The real world sucks. =/

I use to feel the same way. I worked and worked and never got ahead of the endless rain of bills. I finally made a life changing decision. I went back to school at 38 years of age. I was terrified but it was worth it. Yeah, I had to put out more energy but I went with an online program that made life a little easier. And I was finally able to get into an office environment and out of the factories. Once I learned enough to get by, I was on my way. I was promoted 6 times in 7.5 years! Now I am working my way even farther into my career by working on my BS degree. It seems hopeless but it all pays off in the long run.

I guess you're just stressed out, I don't think oyu're depressed just because of money. Everything in this world can be changed, are only fro temporary. A lot of people do get in troubles and we always think of some solutions to deal with. I have those things in life, in which I think that life itself is not worth living at all. But I always think of something meaningful to continue it, or sometimes I set these problems of mine aside for a while. By this, i could think of things that I learn to appreciate and still consider myself more luckier or blessed than others..

hello faylinn!. i have been there and i was actually thinking that school and the school requirements are just waste of my time and effort and doing this requirements makes me stop doing or halt in doing my jobs online.. well i thought the same way too but then i realized that, in order to get a good stable job or "to be safe" i must finish my education and do well in it so that i may graduate.. my mom always says that education is the best thing that she can give to me and im not gonna let her down on that.. trust me, u can use what you have learned in school in your chosen field.. just stay with it and it will come to pass!. i hope that you will find strength again to really battle all of these depressive elements that cause you to feel worthless, confused and broke. Godbless!.

I love studying. I never really studied for money. I have 1 undergraduate degree. 1 masters degree. I was in medical faculty for 2 years before. I studied 4 years of Ph.D and just withdrew from it. Now I applied to software development and Information technology degrees. One is undergraduate and the second one is a graduate program. I got into both and I will study both at the same time. I don't care if I don't have a good job. I love studying. But if you are studying for money, you have to choose a good degree only to find a good job!

There have been plenty of times where I put in way more hours of work than I should have. The last project I did for school, I spent over 32 hours filming a 15 minute video. You ask how is that possible? Well when you have a group of creative friends, you constantly change your ideas every few minutes. If we just stuck with the first film we made, I would have still got an A on the project, but no. We decided to make several different films. Just because the amount of work you put into something isn't worth it, doesn't mean you should not do it.

the reason you are feeling like this is because you have overworked and havent ercieved the fruit for your hard work as yet.you need to take a break from what you are doing and for no reason do not quit school.thaths the last thought that should come in your mind.life is full of challenges and you need to take them on as they come towards you.so give it some rest and you ll be ok.all the best buddy.

i am wondering if mylot is worth it, like 30 cents a day is not that high paying enough to get something that you would like. also i think graduating is worth it because eventually you will have a good job and then after that you will have a good retired life with lots of good money to spend on a healthy and fun life style.

Its the story of life, to have time you need money, and to have money you need time. Only the lucky people free themselves with making money that doesnt require time.

I am sorry to hear that. I kinda know the feeling about being broke because I am in a situation. My fiance quit her job because she is looking for a better one. And now I am stuck with the bills until she can get one hopefully soon. Why did you lose your online job? Couldnt you manage to do the school work and job on your time. I wish you the best!

I can defintly relate to your situation. Sometime's when I feel other projects and friends and fmaily are taking up too much of my personal time I get fustrated too. I feel it's important to stick with school. Is your paper not worth what you will have learned? I know that I waste alot of time too when I could be more productive, I just try my best to focus on what I need to get done!

When I was younger, I really loved someone, and did everything I could for them. I ended up being shrugged off, and it wasn't worth all the trouble. So yeah, I know what you mean sort of. I hope that things improve for you soon and the problems get sorted :) ...

hi Faylinn Just step back a min and take a look at the end result, which will be graduation, then you can focus on what really matters. whenever I am going through a trial i try and remember what someone told me long ago, "this to shall pass" and you will be stronger for this trial you are going through!

when i reached my 4th year in college, all of us needed to go through thesis studies. and later on, presentation to the jury (defense). it was mind boggling! too many things to research about and too much money needed just to finish the study. it was my first time when i felt so broke and yet, i need to go on or else, i won't be able to graduate. i borrowed money from friends just to get through the thesis expenses. i was able to finish and defended my thesis. i really felt so stressed during my last year in college because of the thesis. i had less sleep. less time to go out and have fun. less time to concentrate on other subjects. less money, too. yep. i know that it will just end up in the library...and 7 years had passed, i am positive that it's there in one of the library cabinets, covered with dust. i just hope someone has tried to atleast flip over the pages and read some of the contents. if so, i'd feel happier.

well it has happened may a times with me.. so i have learned something now.. never to jump in to things without doing proper assesment of the situation. one should ask three questions to one self before performing any action 1) is the action worth performing.. 2) wat will be the consequences of the action. 3) am i going to benefit from this action.. so ask these three things before performing any action..

yes, i think all of us had done that before at least once in our life... including me... and at the end i regret it because i know it is not worth it at all... for me, i am so obsessed in my love life and dating in the past that i invest so much time and money on that and at the end i broke up with the guy... i do that twice in my life... luckily, the third one worked out and he becomes my hubby now... :-)

As much as this is a different situation, I exerted a lot of time and effort into my previous relationship and got nothing but regular beatings out of it. So in that sense, I guess you'd say I exerted too much effort. I think we all do this with something or other at some point in our lives you know. Especially if we feel something on a deep level. It's like we get something between our teeth and we just can't let go no matter how much we want to. The trick is learning when to let it go. Figuring out when the effort is not worth the end result and letting it drop. So many people don't figure that out till it's too late and they crash and burn.

I am having trouble coping in school too. I am burnt out like you wouldn't believe and I am not even at midterms yet! My suggestion is to keep your eyes on the prize (graduation) you are so close! You are lucky in my eyes I still have 3 more years of school. Wanna trade places?
