Something must be wrong. They do not have outdoor activities. They sit the whole day not even moving their big toe. It is sad the this generation is hocked on TV or the Computer. Their communication skills is ineffective. They seem to be intelligent people watching TV but the truth is their interaction with reality is affected.

So true. Their parents really need to learn to force their kids out of the house. As a kid, I watched TV but it wasn't my main entertainment. In fact, if my friends and I were watching TV it usually meant we were BORED and out of ideas. I like the theory that kids should pick one or two shows a day and those are all they are allowed to watch. I am addicted to TV, but I don't sit and watch - I do other things while it is on. I will teach my children that it's ok to watch TV while doing other things, but I will try to enforce rules that they cannot just sit on the couch being lazy for hours staring at the TV.

My sister thinks it is OK to leave the children alone the whole day and they have the freedom to stay on the TV for such long hours. Think their personality is not properly developed.

kid watching tv - childrentoday.com/newsline1.htm
Yes something is definitely wrong when a child watches TV for a long time much more if it lasts up to 10 hours. I have to admit that i let my son watch tv too but not to the extend that he'll watch for the whole day, we go out and play every afternoon too and read a story before sleeping. I hope the parents of these kids will realize the damage of too much tv will do to their kids.

I think that watching television reduces the abilities and the brain activitities.Children would read books ot they would go out to play with other kids.In this way they also loose the capacity to socialize.I'm according with your opinion
