I haven't seen the movie and don't plan to, but I thought the book was terrible. Poorly written, boring, and totally implausible, even on its own terms.

I enjoyed both. But I enjoy a lot of fiction. That he took a debunked theory and managed to wrap a wonderful story around it and cause massive controversy, just proves how good a writer he is. I thought it was so funny that the "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" people sued him, because they have, no doubt, gotten a huge new round of book buying off his novel. I also enjoyed the movie, I liked the use of the flashbacks, both the historical ones (like when they were crossing the street and you saw the history mix with the modern) and where we went back to see them escape the plane. I thought the director/writers did a good job interpeting the story.

I haven't seen the movie but I liked the book very much. Its really fascinating to read about so many mysteries which were unknown and about facts people don't want to believe.
