I take chlorella everdya. Never had a problem with it. Least that I know. It's great for my teeth. Have not ben to the dentist for 20 years! No problems. Saves me a ton of money. And it's very healthy. Also take spirulina occasionally and barley grass daily.

I have heard the chlorella can cause some digestive upset in people when they first start, but I've not heard this about spirulina. However, I'm under the impression that chlorella is more potent than spirulina, though both are wonderful. I started taking chlorella as a way to help cleanse yeast from my colon. When I first started taking it, I realized you need to start with just 4 or 5 little tablets and then work your way up to 10-15 tablets per dose. If you start with too many, you might get a stomach ache and have green stool. Although I read that if it turns your stool green, then this is the sign you are taking an optimum amount.
I think both are great if you have a hard time getting enough veggies into your diet as they pack a huge nutritional punch and offer many of the same benefits as veggies.
