with all our wars and medical/ technological research, we spend alot of money. any one care to guess how much? ill tell you. over 7 trillion dollars! (according to the cia world factbook 2005). this number had been getting bigger with every year and much of our debt lies ith china. so are we getting anything out of all this war? will the ecomomy ever recover? and what happens when china asks for its money? also i searched online and found a table that showed national debt in ordinance with the president in office. i dont mean to be rude, but the republicans spent much more than the democrats! any reason?

I have no idea why one party spends more than the other. But in Bush's State of the Union address this year, he stated that he had a plan, that if put into effect, would erase the national debt by 2010. I hope his plan gets through. If our lenders called in our tab, we'd be worse off than Russia.
What we're getting out of the war though, is safety. Terrorists aren't attacking american civilians on american soil, and hopefully, if certain people can see reason, terrorists' infrastructure will be shattered.
