I agree. I just don't see spending that kind of money on a game system. I just like to play games, I don't need all the other crap, and even if I did buy it I would still keep my other game systems, so what is the point. I will wait until the price goes down and just continue to play my playstation 2.

The Playstation 3 just doesn't have that many great games as of now, unless you're into racing/fighting games. I would wait til this fall to see how the game selection is, or maybe you could get a Nintendo WII for much cheaper that a PS3.

Depends how you look at it The playstation 3 is a lot of console in one package....If however you won't use all of it's feature and hardware then you will be forced to spend money on stuff don't need. The Xbox 360 had the right idea with doing a core console and then making the extras available as addons..Maybe PS3 will later look at going down a similar route( though doubt it)

Yeah, owning a gaming console is expensive. And that's why I don't buy a gaming console. Ok, first You have to buy the console, and it's quite quite expensive. And when You have the console, You need to buy games too and they are about 70$ in here or something - they are picking Your pockets.

If you're not having this problem anymore, then don't worry about it. What I'm about to suggest is look into the product overall and see if it has something that will be worth wild to you. As far as games go, I really couldn't tell you what's out there to buy it. I know there's Blu Ray involved but it all depends on what you want to use it for. As a gaming console, I think it's a failure at this moment though that can change. The biggest problem was the price though it dropped from what it was.
