Who's your American Idol Pick at this point?

I love American Idol and watch it every week but I haven't been keeping up on the online buzz about American Idol and who most people seem to be leaning towards as a possible winner so I'm just curious - if you had to pick a winner right now, who would it be?
I'm really loving the guys this season even though I know it seems the judges are leaning towards a female winner this season. I like some of the females but none of them stand out as "radio" type singers. (think: Kelly Clarkson style) I think alot of the females this season have HUGE voices, Broadway type voices and that's great but I really want someone to win that is like Kelly and can make some good radio tunes.
So with that said, if I was going to pick right now my second place winner would be that blonde spikey haired kid (can't remember his name right now) the one that beatboxes/scats really well. I love his style and he reminds me of Justin Timberlake with the way he scats.
My winner pick would be Chris Richardson, hands down. Not only does he sound darn good but he looks good too and he can move. I'm a huge JT fan but I think this kid could take my loyalty away if he keeps it up. If you close your eyes, he sounds just like JT. I love that style of singing. Don't tell Justin but I think this kid is cuter than him too. Shhhhh :)
So those are my opinions and choices, what are yours?

Melinda doolittle deserves to win!! I think you are right about Chris Richardson and Blake. They will at least make the top 6.

I think that Melinda is one of the best right now. She's amazing and has this different persona when she sings.

I'm a huge Melinda Doolittle fan...she is so talented..just needs more self confidence...I know she has been backup singer for a while...but she's VERY good...

I like Chris Richardson, but it'll be interesting to see how he does when they get to the theme rounds. If he can be consistantly good with different styles, than he's got the appeal to go far.
Right now, I love Lakisha and Melinda. I think that Lakisha is a classic big-singer and would do justice to an R&B genre that is really missing too many big singers. Melinda, meanwhile, is just a star. It's amazing to me that she's been a backup singer for so long and still hasn't gotten into the limelight.

I agree with you completely. I'm still not sure which one is Melinda Doolittle. Is she the short black girl (and this is going to sound bad but she reminds me ALOT of a younger, black Lily Tomlin in her face)? I'll have to pay better attention to her next week because I was switching back and forth on the girls night between A.I. & A.N.T.M. so I must have missed her performance.

My favorite right now is Melinda. Her singing is great but I like her personality too. I agree with what Simon said that fame would not change the way she is.

I really like Blake, the beat box dude. I also like Chris (the Jack Osborne lookalike). I like his voice. I think Brandon is very sexy. NONE of the girls stand out to me. In fact I didn't even watch the girls last week because they bore me. A guy will win this season, hands down.

The girls are boring me this season too for some reason. I admit, a few of them have amazing voices but they still bore me. I didn't watch much of last week of the girls night either. I watched American's Next Top model and switched to A.I. during the commericials. If I had my way, a guy would win this season. They might not all have as huge of voices as some of the girls but they are very entertaining and their voices are good enough to sell records and be entertaining. Just my opinion of course.
I voted about a million times last night for my man Chris Richardson - I think my son was getting annoyed. *lol*
I didn't think he'd do a country song but he pulled it off. I prefer him doing more popish music but he sure has the twang for country in his voice too. Not to mention he's sexy as all heck!

I like Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson. i think i lkke Blake better then Chris though. Although at first I thought Chris Richardson was the best but something about the way Blake mixes his music and his singing i really like him.

I think the girls are overall more talented than the guys but I do really like Blake (the beatboxer). He is just so new and unique. I think he has a Sting-ish quality to his voice and that is not a bad thing.
I really like Lakisha and Melinda. they are both very talented and they can both belt out those songs. I think Melinda is more suited to regular radio play but I think Lakisha has a better voice.
My favorite guy is Phil (the baldy). I think he has a terrific radio voice, he isn't bad to look at, and he can really perform. I think that he will get a contract no matter how far he goes in the competiton.
I don't really care for Chris, sorry. I mean he has a good voice and all but I don't think there is anything special about him. I feel the same way about Sundance. I don't get why he is so popular. To me his voice is okay, but nothing stands out.
I really think there will bea female winner and it will come down to Melinda and Lakisha and I think Melinda will win. Both of them will have careers though so it really doesn't matter who wins.
I can't wait until we get to theme nights because that is where we really start to see the talent that these people have.

I like Melinda and Lakisha, but seems that they don't have sales potential like Daughtry, Carry Underwood and Kelly. So in this season seems like talent show only, but we'll see :) The round is till long way to step :)
