I just wanted to make everyone aware, especially those that are complaining about lost earnings and deleted posts...myLot will delete posts that are just jokes. When they do this, they will also delete all responses to those topics, as well as earnings earned from those responses. So, if you notice that your earnings and posting numbers are going down, think about if you have started any joke threads or responded to any. I hope this helps someone. Please feel free to add other topics, or things that you know myLot will delete. Let's build a great community here on myLot. Happy Posting.

I think it is a rather new implementation by myLot to get rid of nonsense discussions. I don't think you have to worry about the ones in the past, just be aware of this for the future. Thank you very much for responding.

your allowed to post Jokes, you've always been allowed to post jokes. I've never had a joke deleted, why wouldn't they be allowed? too many people having fun?

Too many people abusing the system. I am glad you have never had a joke deleted. I think it is a new rule, because of the over abundance of new users filling up the boards with spam and things that don't translate into useful discussions. Thanks for your input.

I have seen a lot of newbies posting only jokes. You know that their intention is not to bring humor to the community, but to post as much as possible to gain points. There was one that I ran into the other day that was posting one after the other. They had little or no responses.

Thank you elusive. I have seen this too and it is a very disturbing trend. I think that is why myLot has initiated this new rule. I am glad to have your input. Thanks.

If it is in a pm or email it is okay. They just don't want jokes filling up the forums. I don't know about in the jokes section. I wish I knew more about it, but I'm sorry I don't. Thank you for sharing your thoughts though.

I'm not sure. They used to be allowed, but I think there has been too much spamming of jokes recently. It doesn't make for a good discussion which is what myLot is trying to achieve. You can email the admin if you want to find out more. Thanks for your response, I appreciate it.

Hi! I never complain about Mylot because they are paying to do what I enjoy - easy money! No need to complain! Mylot is the best!
Thanks for mentioning this, though. I will keep it in mind when posting. :-) Have a great day!

Thanks for your reply. I don't either. I love myLot and I know better than to reply to joke posts. But there are so many people on here that complain constantly about earnings and them going down, I figured I'd try to help some of them understand why. MyLot is wonderful. I love it here. It is the best, I agree with you there.

Why do you think that dear? There is a special place for jokes.

You are welcome. It seems to be a rather touchy subject with some users. I was hoping that the topic would help others, especially those that post joke after joke. As always...my friend +++.

So I guess that this means that myLot has no
sence of humour, or that is their sence of humour.
Or is this a joke.?

No, it's true. I don't think humor is the issue, it's that jokes aren't considered to be discussions by the myLot administrators, I guess.

Thanks for the info. I often wondered how to respond to jokes, the definitely don't promote intelligent discusssion, which is what I thought this site was about.

You are very welcome. While I think a joke is refreshing every now and then; I get really annoyed when it seems to be the only thing new on the board to respond to. I see myLot's point. Thanks for your input.

hmm i have not experienced this yet but thats for the heads up. i guess this delay easily occurs because there are thousands of topics going up everyday and it takes the staff time to actually go and see them all, which is understandable. anyways thanks for the information as i know i would have got confused if this occured to me
cheers

I only joined recently and there is still a joke section. I hope the people that just reply to sensible threads with a joke that has no bearing to the discussion will have their comments deleted and earnings removed. It seems to not be in the spirit of the forum at all. It is good to have a joke section though to have a laugh sometimes.
