What do you do if nothing is good on tv?

What do you do instead of whatching TV if nothing to your liking in on or if it is all reruns? Do you sit and watch reruns or do you find something else to do? Do you go outdoors? Go shopping? Read? Get online? I find myself using that time for online. I'll either work on writing articles or doing some research.

I love to curl up in my favourite chair and read a good book. If the weather is good then I will go for a walk or out into my garden, in the weather is bad or it's late then I will happily sit and do some sewing or sketching.

Luckily I have Skyplus so I have loads of old episodes of Malcolm in the Middle and Stargate to watch, some I have yet to see others I am quite happy to watch again, because they were so good the first time round. With Sky there is so much to watch, so many channels, so little time! I will spend time online if there's is nothing on tv.

If there's nothing on tv, I'll read, or get on the computer, or I might just watch a tape or dvd.

I like watching the OLD shows again like Beverly Hillbillies and such. I don't care for current season reruns at all. There are too many that you can watch online now if you miss the show.

You sound very active! Since we live in the suburbs we don't usually trek into town unplanned. Takes at least an hour of time just to drive there and back. Makes for a late night and getting up for work is next to impossible.

I have Comcast, so then I can just go to On Demand and watch some movies or episodes of over 100 shows!

I sometimes watch the reruns or just turn the channel to something like CNN. I mostly watch ESPN so reruns are not much of a problem.

I would probably watch more TV if we had cable TV! Right now we don't, yanked it when kids would watch TV instead of doing homework.

I very seldom watch TV. I have a few select shows I make a point to watch and the rest of the time I am so busy doing hundreds of other things. I like to read, do sudoku puzzles, play on the internet, work outside weather permitting, take a walk, clean my house, cook, it never ends!

Same here. I raise parrots so have to feed and water them every night after work and dinner and all the other little things get done. I am also online quite a bit with various sites doing freelance writing. I have watched more TV this past year than I have in the previous 3 years combined I would bet!

If I have time to watch TV and then find that there's nothing on at all interesting then I will more than likely get online or read a book or probably find some project or job around the house that needs to be finished. If I'm lucky I might just get a nap or get to bed early instead.

My hubby and I watch only certain interesting tv programs spending about one and a half hours daily. Other than that I spend time mostly on online writing, gardening, reading or playing music instrument. Occasionally my hubby and I will go for shopping or pay a visit to my siblings or friends.

If there is nothing on tv i sit at the computer and listen to music thats providing my daughter is asleep, if shes awake i normally watch reruns on e4 cos you can never get enough friends or scrubs which is normally what i end up watching over and over, watching tv is the only way i manage to stay awake whilst feeding my daughter first thing in the morning so i normally am watching reruns of switched just for the background noise..

when that happens, I usually turn my game console on and start playing some pro evolution. If is really late, I go to bed. If I'm hungry I go for a snack. It really depends on the situation, and the time of the day.

I sometimes like watching reruns..but when I'm not too lazy I try to find something else to do..something fun, creative, resourceful, I could learn from and etc...I don't really go outdoors...I shop when I have extra money...reading is my least thing to do..but most of the time I surf and do some research on the net...

As I've grown older, I find myself watching less TV than I used to as a kid or even young adult. There are only two prime-time shows I consider Must-See TV: The Simpsons on Sundays and 24 (even though the writing is getting a bit stale) on Mondays. I still will surf channels or watch Countdown and part of Scarborough Country on MSNBC, but more often than not it's either watch a DVD or get online. If NOTHING good is on, I'll read or listen to music.

I am in front of the computer, usually on myLot! LOL -- otherwise, I am listening to some CDs, usually self help stuff like Wayne Dyer or Deepak Chopra, or else I read. Right now, though, I am still scrambling to get my tax returns submitted on April 30! So what am I doing here typing you ask??? myLot is so dang addictive!!! that's what!

If nothing good is ever on tv I usually just read or sleep, type on the computer, talk on the phone, etc. and there are so much more things that you can find time to do.

If there is nothing good on tv I might pop in a movie. If I'm not in the mood for that I'll get on the internet and surf around. Or I play games on the computer. I read a lot too unless there's one of my prime time shows on.
