I was totally dismay yesterday from what my in-laws said or suggested. Last March 1 was my son's bday. I already had the ingredients for the spaghetti done when I knew that they will be throwing him a party. I was only planning of a small family gathering on my side. The next day, because I promise the 3 year old son to bring him to the mall and buy him a toy, my mother-in-law called my hubby and asked why in the world like we never have a plan of celebrating my son's bday? And asking hw much I'm earning ( I'm the only one workin) and am I helping my family with regards to financial things ( with the salary I have, I couldn't even share some amount to them). The hell she had the guts to ask me to share on the house bills and so on.. not even thinking that it's their daughter-in-law workin ang providing. If only I was earning that much I wouldn't hesitate but I wasn't and I still need to figure out how i'll be distributing it for the my son's needs and my allowance ( well I travel everyday when going to work). What do you think? I wish God would give my husbanad a job..huh?!

I can relate with what you're fuming about. My husband & I are married for more than four years now. My husband used to be out of work for several months. About more than a year ago, before he quit his job, he was able to give me his earnings which was below the minimum wage. However, almost everyday, he would request for an amount from me for his daily expenses; for food and miscellaneous. The amount would then sum up to more than what he has given me; meaning, he wasn't able to provide for his own family and that's us - him, me & our daughter. I've been working for many years now; and I could say that I had no choice but to shoulder all of our expenses: house rent, utility bills, groceries, etc. I really had a hard time then. But my in-laws were not that unfair to me. They know that their son should be responsible enough to feed us & provide for us on a daily basis.
But I believe God do answers prayers. He is now employed again. And if there's one thing I've learned from the hard situation is that; we should always keep something to ourselves; specially in money matters - just in case we'll be needing them during the rainy days. Take care & find comfort in the Lord. I'll be praying for you, chunnei, even if I don't know your real name.
