Is it just me, or does anyone else think that Sports stars make too much money? On MSN, they have a story about the 49'ers signing free agent, Nate Clements (cornerback) to an $80 million contract. I just think it's a little excessive. This is just the football contract, this excludes any endorsement deals he'll profit from also.

That's insane. No wonder they are always wanting tax payers to pay for the stadiums. How much money do those player's make from thier endorsments?

I also agree with you! thats lot of money to play the sport. But im not going to hate on them because if we were in the same predictament as them, we would be happily receive it! If the owner is willingly to pay that price then why not then!.

You aren't alone. It is really getting out of hand in my opinion. Pretty soon everyone is going to be going overboard with pushing kids into sports.

That's what I believe also. It's bad now, but I think it will just get worse. Pretty soon, school will be taking a backseat to sports, like we've never saw before.

pro athletes make way too much money. They arent even good role models anymore. Back in the day we had people like Jordan for our kids to look up to and aspire to be, now we have really bad people become role models.. They are way overpaid.
