I've found Helium to be a goldmine

I've been looking for an opportunity to make some part-time money like I can on Helium for a long time. I don't understand how come some people are there who just want to write and not make income. I want to do both. I would suggest that if anyone wants to make money, that they give Helium a try. Does anyone make good money on Mylot? It seems like it takes a lot of work to make a little money.

I agree - Helium takes a while to get going, but once it does, it's worth it! I've just had my second payout and it was far easier to reach than it was the first time.

I joined Wise Orb late last year, and am still waiting for the two articles that I submited to be published. They are still "pending review" and I cannot get anyone to answer by email. I have sent several emails over the last few months asking if there was a problem with them that needed to be fixed, but get NO response. I would say to be VERY careful where Wise Orb is concerned.

I fine this site and AC more productive than Helium. If you don't have a slew of people in your "downline" there then you are waiting months and months to reach the pay out threshild, which I think is $50.00 but I could be thinking about another site. YOu will earn fractions of pennies for each hit to your articles so you have to have a BUNCH of them all earning at a brisk rate. I am not sure what is meant by gold mine. I have yet to see anything of the sort.

I'm thinking that within the next 6 months, Helium will be my full time job. I like AC too. I've made over $100 since the last payout about two weeks ago. I've only been on 6 weeks. I have trouble getting traction to get real income spikes on here though. The payout on Helium is $25.

It's associatedcontent.com. They buy articles if they approve them.

I don't think AC has a particular payment period. They usually pay for my articles as soon as I accept their offer. Or within a few hours at the most.

I just signed up on Helium, and I don't really have the hang of things yet. I am finally comfortable here on MyLot (it seems like it took me forever to realize that there were discussions under my topics of interest). I don't "get" Helium yet, so I would appreciate any tips anyone has. How do you earn money there? Only by having people read your articles? Do you earn money by rating articles? I've just written one article by answering a question. Can you write articles without answering a question?

You can create a new question and answer it at the same time. Then just submit it as a new topic in the correct category. I think that your earnings are based on how often your article is read and rated, so yes I think you do get some from rating - or rather when someone else rates your article well. You can also earn a percentage from any new writers that you invite to Helium - it is a set percentage of any of their earnings - that helps some. Hope this info helps you out! Happy Writing!

I don't quite get "how" that helium thing works. I don't think I've ever heard of that. As far as spending time on mylot, I know this definately doesn't take the place of a job. I come to this site to enjoy the discussions and it's also kind of a form of relaxation to me.

I don't understand what you mean when you say some people on Helium don't want to make income. I am on Helium and I get a few cents on most of my articles, even very old ones every month. How can you be on there and not be making any money at all? Do you know how to increase income on Helium. The most I have made there is when they choose one of my articles for display on the home page. Then my views go up, and so does my income. I wouldn't call Helium a gold mine though, unless you know some secret that I don't know. Please share if you do.

I'm a Helium.com member (though not for long yet), and I've submitted numerous articles. However, I don't see my account racking up very much in the way of income! Maybe it's too early or maybe I'm not doing something right, but I'm certainly not getting rich there! Any ideas?

It takes a little time at Helium for the account to start going up on a daily basis. The more articles you have there and the more you have rated, the more your account will add up. It is slow going at start though. Don't give up!

OK...thanks for the feedback. I'll try to be patient! Meanwhile, are there any 'magic formulae' for Helium success? Thx again.

Helium looks like a great opportunity to me. I have a few questions though: Can I publish articles that I wrote, but are already published in my blog? Can I post links to my blog or referral links (for instance, writing an article about myLot and posting my referral link)?

You can put whatever you want on Helium including article that have already been written by you on other sites as long as it is your work and not someone else's. In regards to putting links you can put the URL but it doesn't allow you to write the actual HTML code for a true link.

I believe that you are correct. When they went public and sold shares, I think they changed the name.

I joined Helium late last year and have been doing fairly well with them. I think when most people say that they are there not for the money, they simply mean that they would write on Helium for the exposure and enjoyment even if there was no income involved. I could be wrong, though. I will try listing links to some of my articles on my profile page, and on some forums - maybe on my blog and website too. Thanks for that tip to increase views and earnings there. Good luck with them.

I do write for helium. I have about 250 articles there. I have found the best way to make money through them is to promote each article you write in groups or forums. The more they are read the more money you make. Here is a sample article i have written so you can see how easy it is. This one is a recipe for corn beef tacos. http://www.helium.com/tm/194105/family-recipecorn-tacos1-tortillas

I see that said you've made over $100 on Helium - can you give us an idea of how many articles you'd written before you reached that mark? This question goes for anyone that has made money on Helium. And for those of you that have, does it seem to be quicker that here on MyLot? Thanks.

Actually, I've almost tripled that now and I have about 150 articles.

I find Helium very useful when I want to actually sit down and fully think out what I'm going to write. My experience has shown that if you right a poor article there it will be rated poorly and then you won't make any money. All of my articles that are ranked in the top 5 make money anything lower than that has never made me a single cent.

I love helium almost as much as Dormcheck and MyLot, but I find it much harder to earn there. Why not just post the same sort of information on Helium when it's easier to make money here?

It is great to read that you find Helium to be a goldmine. I think it is a great way to write for money as well. Unfortunately I have not made that much money yet. But I have not had the time to write anything for a couple of weeks, and it is fun to see that I actually earn from earlier articles there as well. After a little over a month I have earned a little over 3 dollars. But I hope that will pile up in the long run. Would you like to share your strategies for earning that much each week? (I read in one of your responses that you earned 25 dollar a week there) I love spending time at Helium. And I hope I will get more time soon to do more writing. By the way. If you like to write. Do you have a blog? You know you could write sponsored posts and earn money that way? Also I make ok money on MyLot. Right now I have earned 16 dollars. But for the last few weeks I have not been able to post that much here, otherwise I would probably had much more earnings here. The thing is to do some quality posts every day and get some active referrals. Right now I have 16 referrals, but only 5-6 that are active. But they will pile up for more income. So my advice to you is to get yourself some referrals :) Good luck! (And sorry for this all so long response lol)

Well, finally after over 200 articles on helium, I am finally making some money. Get my first payout in April. I do like helium and plan to stick with it. I have blossomed as a writer over there. Watching others write and learning from them. I like helium as much as I do mylot.

I'm a member of Helium, and have never heard of anybody making great money on there. I've made like $.50, but I only have a few articles posted. What's your secret?

And that really pays off? I'm just going to stick with trying to get a blog up and going.
