I've always been fascinated with dreams. I don't remember too many of the ones I have, but when I do remember them, I write then in a dream journal. I think they are fun because they are so 'off-the -wall' and have such symbolism. I have a friend who can actually influence her dreams. The closest I ever got to that was refusing to believe something and forcing myself awake. Anyone care to share their wierdest dream? Anyone have a dream that actually ended up coming true?

I enjoy dreaming most times, but sometimes I have really bad ones that scare me and then I can't sleep for a few days until I fall down from exhaustion. I sometimes have dreams where I can control the whole dream and what happens. Sometimes when I am in a bad dream I can get out of it if I realize I am dreaming (if that makes sense). OK, this is going to sound strange but here is an example. If I am in a really bad dream such as someone is chasing me...and I realize I am dreaming... then I can control the dream by imagining a person to run to. Most times I ask that person where the nearest cliff is because when I am in a bad dream I know that if I jump off something high then I will wake up. I guess I don't have full control of my bad dreams because then I would be able to turn it fully into a good one... but I can't. I can only control the way I can get out of the dream. And thats only sometimes... Ok... now I have probably confused you to the max.... sorry. I try and explain this to people and they never get it... but hopefully you do... lol
I have had a few dreams come true... very freaky!

Thats good, I am glad someone understands what I am talking about lol. As for keeping a journal I do sometimes write my dreams down... not all the time... but sometimes. Sometimes its great to look back on the dreams and see if some have predicted anything or something. :p

Well this is something different , I have never heard of anyone keeping track of their dreams before but think it is a really neat idea . I never seem to remember mine and if I do then I don't want to remember them as they scared me for whatever reason but I really like your idea .

Mine seem to revolve around the same general theme, but have so many variations on the subject. It's what's center in my life right now,and I relive it in many forms in my dreams. It's unfortunate that it's so negative, but they are helping me de-sensitise from the issue. I can also see the basis of my feelings for the issue as it's played over and over in different situations. They are just dreams, but they are helping me iron out my issues related to the subject.

influencing dreams are very fascinating, they are called lucid dreams. I wish I could do it. Yes I have several dreams that come true. There are two many to list here, but I have prophetic dreams all the time.

Now you got my curiosity up. Tell me the neatest prophetic dream you've had. I know I've had more than one, but the only one I can ever remember right now was that I dreamt that my husband all of a sudden turned cold and heartless, then left me for another woman, not even caring that I sat in the bathroom crying. It didn't happen exactly like that (cuz I wasn't in the bathroom when it happened), but it was close enough to be uncanny.

I never used to pay attention to dreams. Dreams were just that...dreams. I never wanted to look to closely at them or figure out if they have any symbolism or anything like that. Since I've gotten older, I get up several times during the night to go to the restroom. I usually am dreaming when I have to get up, so I remember all of my dreams for a short while. Usually they are the eye-rolling kind and I just shake my head and I don't remember them again after I wake up the next morning. If they were even slightly disturbing or strange, I might remember them the next morning, but will shrug them off and forget them. The other night I dreamed about a former choir director of mine whom I had worked with. It was very odd, and because of the dream, which I didn't actually remember, I felt that perhaps I was supposed to pray for this person and the urge to do so remained with me for about 3 days. As for keeping a journal...I don't think I want to put a pad of paper in the bathroom for me to write in 4 times every night...my sleep is disrupted enough just having to get up so often! LOL

I'm going through a dry spell right now where I'm not remembering any of my dreams. For the last few months, they have been so focused on the same theme, but now I guess I'm getting my brain to stop obsessing enough that my dreams have started to chill out. I don't like that I'm not remembering them, but I don't feel like crap when I wake up anymore, so they must be ok.

Yes, ChaJudleobit, I had three dreams that actually came to past last year. One of them was a dream about my friend girl. In the dream I was standing at my kitchen window and saw her and a girl child in the backyard of the house directly behind my house. She and the child were at the fence separating the two properties.
I called out to her asking her why she was over there, because lived seventy miles from me in reality, and I invited her to come over to my house. I was expecting her to go arouond the corner to get to my house. But the next thing I knew, she and the child were standing at my back door knocking.I was throughly surprised and asked her how did she arrive at my back door like that because there was no gate at the fence for her to come.
I told her when I talked to her on the phone later about the dream. But she made a statement that God does cause people to be taken from one place to another as in Acts 8:26-40.
But I found out much later that it wasn't God causing her to go from one place to another like that. She was astro projecting. And God was revealing that to me in the dream.
I'll tell you about the other dreams at another time, Cha.

Explain to me what you meant in your last paragraph. I'm not sure I've ever heard of astro-projecting...

Hi I'm Toya I have a lot of dreams but I don't know what they mean Sometimes I think they are a reflection of things I've done as the dreams refer to similar things Sometimes I think they might be symbolic of the future. One dream I have which keeps recurring is Im runnin on my own like Im jogging and the scenery keeps changing but in each scenery theres different people trying to say something to me but as they come up to me the scenery changes again Strange but I dont know what it means Any opinions?

I bought a book recently about figuring out what your dreams mean, but you really have to delve into what's going on in your life and what things are in your head that are influencing you. Many times you aren't even aware of an issue that's causeing stress in your life but will present itself in your dreams.

Yes but thats what everyone says isn't it? That dreams reflect your personal life and the stress you're going through in fact it's quite annoying when you ask some people about spiritual things cause they always say its to do with your own personal faults I think dreams represent real life situations and things that happened or are going to happen but sometimes the dreams come in symbols I think writing in a dream journal is a good idea and I've heard that if you practise you can take control of the dreams as often they end before you know whats happened

I've always had trouble remembering my dreams, but with some recent crap I've been going through, I started remembering ALL of them. But now... I'm reverting back to my pre-rememberance state and I'm not remembering too much. I enjoyed thinking about my dreams later, but I haven't had one that I remember in weeks.
