I think it's important to try and eat a balanced diet and I have also been sucked into the five a day thing, so yes I try and eat vegetables every day and try to vary what vegetables I eat as well because as you say sometimes it can become a bit boring eating the same things over and over, also you won't get as wide a range of vitimims and minerals if you only eat certain vegetables.

Eating vegetables is very important in our health. Try to eat little by little until you will learn to love vegetables. Vegetables can make our body more healthier and keeps our body away from all diseases. Vegetables is more cheaper than fish and meat. So besides of its good for our health, it is always good for our budget.

I also hate vegetables. The taste is bad. I do not like vegetables. But... it contain the answer to healthier life. So i take it everyday, at least once a day. But when i'm getting sick of it i will go several days without touching it.

Well, I'm on a diet, so yeah, I'm eating vegetables every day. But I love them and I have a big variety so I really don't get bored. Today, lunch was cherry tomatoes, celery, carrots and cauliflower in humus. And I had a baked sweet potato with dinner. I could eat a salad every day - even if I wasn't dieting. I always have about 10 dressings in the fridge, so that helps to not get bored of them.
I think variety is definitely the key.

No, I don't. I know I am supposed to, but I don't. There are days when I just don't want to look at any veggies. I know they are good for us, but sometimes, enough is enough. I never did like salads, reminds me of rabbit food.

I eat many vegetables most every day or every day, because it increases my health, energy, vitality, and appearance in many big ways.
Right now I am eating a salad with: Daikon radish, regular radishes, iceberg lettuce, spinach, vine-ripened tomatoes, broccoli, red radicchio, carrots, raw cashews. Dressing is both Riverhouse Parmesan Herb with Roasted Red Peppers, and Newman's Own Light Sundried Tomato.
Whatever it costs to do this twice a day, it costs more if I don't, for medical costs, and the costs of losing energy and not dealing with important things like returning library books and brakes that should have been fixed earlier, and being able to accept substitute assignments from the office. This is my best form of health insurance.
Along with my salad I will also have some baked butternut squash, and I had some Brown Basmati Rice with raisins before the salad.
I don't get sick of them because I try different ones, and challenge myself to try ones I hadn't had before, and try to find ways to eat them and like them. Getting several kinds of dressing helps.
Yum!

Yes, in every meal in the house we try to have 1 veggie dish either stew, saute or soup veggie dish, fresh veggie salad is rarely served only on special occasions.
My family is not vegetarian, my father in fact is a 'carnivore' than omnivore. But everyone else in the house eats more serving of veggies and fruits than meat. We have a space at the back of the house where my granny grows some crops and green leafy veggies like malunggay, probably the most common filipino veggie, we cooked it as soup dish together with squash or pumpkin and eggplant.

We are supposed to eat 5 portions a day but I must confess I find that hard. I try to include tomatoes (strictly speaking a fruit) or some form of salad in every sandwich I eat and always have vegetables with dinner, I like carrots and greens.
Drinking fruit juice is supposed to make a five a day portion so I buy orange juice and try to drink that regularly, and I buy fruit and snack on that when I can afford it, so it's not all about vegetables.

Hi Sandie. Nice post. I'm giving you a + rating dear for it.
I love veggies. When I can afford it, I will eat a cabbage salad with carrots and tomatoes daily. For dinner, I will usually have brocolli and potoato, or corn with the chicken or meat.
I will never get sick of veggies, but I enjoy them raw best. Unless, I am stuffing them.

yes , at home there's always a homemade vegetable that my wife would really prepare for dinner or sometimes on lunch . stir fried vegetables , vegetables with mixed seafoods , fresh vegetable salad with light ranch , vegetable noodles , beef soup with cubed vegetables or many more recipes to choose that we can eat vegetables everyday.

Gosh I try so hard to be a good girl and eat lots of vegetables but sometimes I just find them so boring. I know we're supposed to eat vegetables regularly to maintain a healthy lifestyle but I can be such a lazy so and so and often go for the easier option of making or buying a sandwich or takeaway for lunch instead of being really good and having a salad. It's different at home as you can prepare healthy meals quite easily yourself, but at work at lunch, sometimes the temptation is too much to eat sensibly because I work in a town centre and there are just too many temptations to resist! Bad bad me! LOL

I am the same way. I just get tired of eating veggies everyday. it gets old and boring. but I am learning here from a few others how to add variety. maybe that will help me. but it is hard to resist when you are away from home and there are so many other foods to choose from and they all taste better than veggies.
