Do you like to watch clouds?

I'm not talking about looking for Snoopy or your cat. I'm talking about looking at nature. Clouds can be awesome. I can look at the sky and think, Whoa! They can be wispy and you get a feeling of freedom or floating. They can look like wavy ripples in a sand dune. They can look like big puffy balls of cotton. Or you can look at the marvelous reds and yellows and oranges and purples at a beautiful sunset. I once saw a cloud formation that reminded me of something out of a movie. It was dark and rolling and looked ominous and evil. That was a definite Wow! Sometimes you can tell the weather is going to change. Sometimes, you can just sit and marvel and the wonders of this world and how lucky we are to enjoy it! If you've ever flown on an airplane, you probably have flown through some clouds. That is very cool. You look out and all you see is a total landscape of white puffy clouds. It looks solid and very interesting, but you know there is no substance there. Anybody else get excited about clouds?

Yes estherlou, I know exactly what you mean. When I look at the sky and clouds, I suddenly feel so small and am in awe at the expansiveness and beauty of the world. It really changes one's perspective if they take the time to stop and look up and watch. Like you, I love to see the different types of clouds. I like the wispy ones...that almost look like they were painted with huge brushstrokes into the sky. I get this same type of feeling when I sit down on the beach and look at the sand and teh waves. It just endlessly rolls in and out...in and out...

Sunset on the way to Houston - This was the sky right after the sunset..a riot of colours.Simply spectacular!
Yes I do, I always look at clouds while we are on the road on a trip and I bother my hubby by telling him what I think of each cloud.Sometimes I see faces and sometimes I see other creatures..lol My hubby drives most of them time so I get to be a nature watcher which I simply love. We went to Houston over the weekend and the whole way I was looking at the sunset and then the moon! It takes me into another world altogether and I gaze for hours on end. I like the thick white clouds which give a sense of 'heaven up there' feeling.

Yes, I like clouds. I like to just lay on my back and stare at the clouds as they go by and daydream and try to imagine different things in each cloud. Clouds make for very good and relaxing daydreams.

I remember in my youth laying on the cool grass on a hot summer's day gazing up at the billowy clouds in the brilliant blue sky. How relaxing those moments were. Later on in my life I found myself doing the same. Only I don't recall the ground being so hard!

Yes I do like looking at clouds and the skyline. I enjoy the beautiful sunrises and the sunsets. I love to look at the sky and clouds and relish in the beauty. It is like an artists painting most of the time and it gives me the feeling of peace.

I often get to watch sunrise clouds as I go to work. It is usually a colorful scene. I remember laying on my back and looking up, up, up into the thunderheads (cumulo nimbus ?) clouds when at my grandparents house, in Colgate, Oklahoma. They had 160 acres, so there was very little to get in the way of the views.

I believe I am right if I say that somebody copied your started discussion word for word - he goes by the name sgoel. I don't like this because I've just responded to this discussion a few seconds ago which goes: My entire family loves to watch the clouds. Clouds can take the shapes of anything if aptly supported by one's imagination. It can take the shape of a dragon, a bear, a castle, or a lion. This happens because the continuous blowing of the wind up high causes the continuous changing of shapes which the clouds undergo.

I do share your passions for clouds...I mean those wonderful high white clouds you can see in the sky when the weather is nice...after reading in a book of a young child staring at the sky and looking for the shape of the clouds, I have started doing it on my own...it may happen that I have a walk in the park and then just lay..my eyes on the sky, looking at clouds and at the numerous and always different shapes they can have...it is a really funny way to spend your free time when you want to clean your mind and leve all bad thoughts apart...and wow..when I have seen the clouds from the airplane the first time, I was so excited...all that wonderful foam...

I agree absolutely. Years ago when I use to fly in an airplane, I would imagine myself floating on those fluffy white clouds, or imagine myself eating those yummie white & fluffy mashed potatoes. I think I spelled potatoes wrong here. Whoops. Oh well. I could go on & on & on re: looking up at the sky & all those beautiful clouds.I'm an outdoors person, so nature to me is part of my life. I just dress for the weather. Really frigid outside; I dress for it. No matter hot or cold, there's always something outside thats truly amazing.

I love the colours and textures on the clouds, the way the light hits them and shines through making tiny bits of rainbow or colours. I like the shapes, freedom and softness of them too! It's nice to see chloud shapes that we can recognise sometimes too.

clouds - floating clouds
Ohh yes, I just love to look at the sky be it clouds or stars. Looking at clouds in a clear sky feel like I am traveling with the clouds. When I travel by flight and the flight goes through the midle of the clouds it feels amazing, I wish like I will touch them by my hand. Specially I like the white clouds more.

I get excited about clouds. You can look at them and it feels like you could just step out into one and walk across it floating. I think they are great for making pictures. My grandkids and I will look up into the sky and say what we see. There are some pretty interesting pictures you can make out of clouds. I have flown on a airplane and it is cool. To look out the window and see those fluffy creations. It is something that always reminds me that there is a bigger power out there.
