God Makes Me Laugh...What about you?

From what I've read here on myLot, a lot of people are confused about God, His existence, His expectations of us, His relationship to us and whether or not He cares about us.
Well, I've had a relationship with Him for 46 years and the one thing I can tell you is that God has a great sense of humor! Now, I realize that a lot of people don't believe that God can talk to people but I find that theory stupid. After all, if He was able to create us, why shouldn't He be able to talk to us?
All I know is that he often makes me laugh. One time my father was yelling about something a few years ago and I was frustrated because he wouldn't shut up and listen to what I was trying to say and I said that to God in my head. A moment later, He replied and said, "Don't feel too bad, I've been trying to get him to shut up and listen to me for years!" It was all I could do to keep from bursting out laughing.
So, what about you? Has God made you laugh lately?

I agree with you. God really has a sense of humour... He makes me laugh at times.
I've been baptized for a year now. However, before I got baptized I use to date someone. Afterward I did, we would still talk on the phone but I never felt comfortable with some of the topics we discussed. So I kept on asking God to help me. I never wanted to tell this guy that I couldnt talk about these things anymore because I was afraid I'd lose the friendship (how silly) so I asked God to intervene. One day my friend called me to say that he was only calling for a few minutes because his company came up with a new rule that they shouldnt talk too long on the phone while driving. Now this is a manager in his company so I was surprised. But then I remembered my prayer.
I kept on laughing for days because I never expected the situation to work out like that. God really is a friend and deliverer.

Well, I'm glad you found the humor in all of that but I can understand why you didn't want to lose a friendship of someone you've dated. It's very hard to walk away from someone you care about. I've always found that God prepares our hearts to allow someone to leave our lives whether it is temporary or permanent. I would recommend that you pray for that man's salvation but allow God to take care of it from there.
A couple of years ago, someone I considered to be my closest female friend for almost 25 years informed me that she no longer had time to be my friend. We had maintained a long distance friendship for all but two months of that friendship and she used the distance as part of the excuse to cut me out of her life. I was very hurt. So hurt that I cried myself to sleep many nights forfeel several months. In fact, it still stings a bit when I think about it but I pray for her and I've asked God to eventually restore that friendship. The challenge will be allowing myself to trust her again but I bellieve that God can even heal that.
However, even before she ended things, God had begun preparing me for it. I didn't want to hear it but He did prepare me for it and it was much easier than it would have been otherwise.
I'm glad that what He did with you made you laugh, though.

God is a Personal God, and He has great qualities to boot.. including a great sense of humor!
When I'm asked if God has a sense of humor, I would jokingly reply, "Of course He does! He made you, right?", followed with a teasing smile. Then I'd sober and say, "Seriously, though, He does.. he made the platypus, right?"
More laughter, of course.^^ God's humor is evident all around.. He makes me laugh too - especially when I'm down.
That's one of the reasons I fell in love with him. ^_^
God bless you, dear, and have a lovely, laughter-filled day. \m/^_^

God talks to us in a lot of ways. One great gift that He gave us was the gift of humor and laughter. No science in the world can explain why we laugh and why we only choose some things to laugh at. God is Good.
God Bless you.
