I make sure I look for offers at the supermarket suvch as buy one get one free etc. I also stock up on things that are on special offer. I spend a lot of time comparing prices to make sure I'm getting the best value for money.

I feel the best way is to check the grocery stores weekly fliers and do a comparison. It is always better ot buy your weekly grocery from 2 - 3 stores than one store. Also try to buy the instore brands, they are much cheaper than the branded stuff

I use coupons and when I know that the generic is just as good I will buy it. Whenever something is on sale and it is something that I always use I will buy it whether I need it at the moment or not. I figure that if I am going to need it eventually I might as well buy it while it is on sale! Also I price compare- buying in bulk is not always saving you money! Every so often the smaller items cost less than the bulk items of the same name and type. I shop at Giant foods because they offer reward points and gas reward points. We have earned our choice of a Giant brand ham or turkey or so many cents off a name brand ham, a parry sizes stouffers lasagna or %10 off our next bill! Plus this last time with gas rewards we got a one-time use of $1 off every gallon of gas we put into our car. They only let you fill up once with that discount, just as they only give you a percent off one purchase in the store. A dollar off each gallon on a 12 gallon tank is AWESOME! Can't argue buying grocerys and getting money off of your gas bill all at once!

I tend to get coupons in the mail for certain products that I use so I will use those coupons if there is a product that I buy from that list of coupons. I will use those to help me save money when I go grocery shopping. Other times I will wait for the flyers to come in the mail so I know what is on sale at each grocery store. If I see a certain type of meat or something that is on our grocery list is on sale.. I will get the food that I usually get from the grocery store we shop at already.. But I will hold off on purchasing certain products if I know another grocery store has a product on for a better deal. Also when I am about to enter the grocery store.. I will look at what coupons the stores have for the products I am purchasing. And I will pull off a lot of the coupons off of the wall & I will use those to save on money when it comes to paying for my groceries. I also tend to bring my own grocery bags instead of having to buy some from the grocery store. Because at the grocery store we shop at.. They charge you for grocery bags if you don't have any on you. So we tend to save all of our bags & will take those with us to the store when my other half & me go grocery shopping. I find it helps us to save on a lot of money when we go grocery shopping each time. We sometimes will even purchase no name products instead of always having to purchase brand name items. For some things we will purchase brand name products as they taste better than the no name products. But for the most part.. We honestly will usually purchase no name products as we find they taste just as good.. And work just as good when we use them in the food we decide to cook for dinner on that particular night. In conclusion.. I find my other half & me use all of these different ways to save on money when we go grocery shopping. We have saved a large amount of money by doing things such as this.. And I am proud that each time we go grocery shopping we both follow these ways to save us a little bit of money each time we go grocery shopping! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

my mom saves money at the grocery by getting those coupons of the store that is thrown in the front door of our house from the paper boy. she also saves by comparing a product from store to store.

I usually find shopping with a list cuts down on unnecessary expenses.When I go for shopping without knowing what I have to buy , I end up buying a lot that I don't need and then when I get back home, I realise what I missed out :-P I ,too, lookout for adverts on good bargains.

I do a lot of shopping around. Of course, my coupons that I get in Sunday's paper, my mail, and trading to my friends. Sometimes the stores have great coupons there or sometimes other shoppers leave them. I don't often print coupons but sometimes. I don't think I save as much as I should but I do Ok.
