Punctured Sentences......

mylot says to not use many punctuation marks in your posts, but some people here do posts without even a single punctuation mark. Once their sentence starts, it ends only after it has acquired a whole page. I have to read thrice sometimes to understand what they want to say. And some also hide the (') mark and make me wondeing about the existance of words like 'ull' and 'hed'.
Is it irritating for you or you just sail through it without any difficulty? I'm not irritated, but feel tension sometimes....

Yea, people need to learn how to make their postings pretty and readable. Punctuations work very well. And yes, the all might paragraphs too.
And strange, I don't recall reading anything about not using punctuation marks...

Umm... I didn't get your last sentence very well, but thanks for agreeing with me:) yes, paragraphs too help in organizing the post and I too used to use them; but now_a_days I don't post such long responses:)
Thanks again!!^^

It's a natural action for me when typing to use the most correct puncuation I can. Just force of my nature I guess. I have also seen in the guidelines where it states not to use too much punctuation in your posts. I think they mean like all the ... to seperate a sentence etc. That;s a total misuse of the purpose of earning for a more detailed discussion I think. Thanks.
HAPPY POSTINGS FRIOM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Hmm... maybe that's their intention. But why they are so reluctant to explain their motives? LOL

I'm new to MyLot and if I'd read the ruling about not using many punctuations marks I wouldn't have bothered to join! I've just started another thread (before reading this one) about the importance of punctuation and what other people think about it.
I hate to read whole blocks of text with little or no punctuation. I hate it so much - I won't read it!

Too many punctuations also irritates us when reading, also they must have said it in order to stop the people from misusing them to get more lines in the descriptive area...punctuations in the appropriate areas are enough, i dont think they are needed in words that we all know and those we often use (like dont, Im, wont, etc), they must be used in order to give a clear picture of teh content to the readers
