does hiro's father know about his ability to stop time? coz i watched episode 17 and there was a scene there that showed hiro as a little boy. his father was talking to mr. bennet about the adoption of baby claire. he told mr. bennet that if claire shows some special abilities, he would turn her over to them. from what i saw it was pretty obvious that his father is part of that same group that hunts down people with unique skills. does he know about hiro's capabilities and just don't want to reveal it to everyone in order to protect his son? or has he been keeping an eye on hiro's every move long before hiro discovered his powers himself?

I highly doubt that hiros's father knows anything about his powers after all hiros didn't really know till recently. Well the beginning of the show but i mean till his adult years. Besides if he knew i doubt that Hiro would be in America. Unless Hiro's father does know and this all part of a bigger plan. Hmmmm something to think about uh?

I don't see how he could not know. He seems to be quite high up in the organization Bennett works for, and yet he seems to not believe in Hiro's mission, though he did know about it. If he knew about Hiro's mission then he would surely know about Hiro's ability he is hardly being choosy about who he tells. I don't think he is trying to hide Hiro, I think he's already been tagged, probably early on in his life. I think that Hiro's father is letting him continue on because he is able to track him.

At first I thought that Hiro's father knew nothing abuot him,then I saw him as a boy with his father and it made me wonder if he knew Hiro had powers himself and if he did,what did he plan to do about it.

I don't think Hiro's father knew about his powers, or else he would demand him to come back home when he first went to NY with Ando.
Moreover, Hiro's father knows where Bennet lives, so he wouldn't take the risk to let Hiro show his powers near him (As He demanded Bennet to hand over Claire, he would need to hand over Hiro as well)
