is he running for congress? sorry i have no idea about politics in the philippines. i'm sure if ever he's gonna run that he has sincere intentions in helping run the country. unfortunately, he doesn't know much about politics, and this will just result to people around him controlling him and his actions. in turn, the filipino people might suffer. all the best to him though. everybody has the right to run for office anyway.

i don't think so..
it's much better for him to focus on his career (boxing).
he will only be used by our government officials this coming elections. so if i were him, i will not run for congress or any other position in our government..
it's just my opinion, thank you for reading!

I am among those who believe that it will be good to try the likes of Manny Pacquiao taking an active part in politics. But I don't believe that now is the right time for him to do this.
Since obviously, he still intends to pursue his boxing career, it will not be wise that he'd get his hands into politics. His attention gets divided between two activities which will require both time and concentration.
Definitely, there is no way that he can divide his body and have two of them so he can attend to both very demanding jobs. If he cannot do this (have two separate bodies, which is impossible), and still be hardheaded to pursue both careers at the same time, one or both careers will suffer tremendously. It shall be Manny Pacquiao at the losing end.

pacman's an idiot! there's so many philanthropist nowadays, and i think that what he should do rather than entering politics. that's why the Philippines cannot progress, due to the ugly political system that we have.

You know why the Philippines is not progressing? It is because we call each other "idiots" at the slightest provocation. You know why we have an ugly political system? It is because we allow it to be ugly. Now, who should we be calling "idiots?"

re you kidding? Manny Pacquiao in congress? It is not a good idea, he doesn't know anything about politics and you want him in congress where the representatives are the ones making the law for the land. Come on, think twice. Politics will bring Pacquiao down on his knees.

I am not in favor of manny pacquiao as a politiciann,He should stick to his career as a sports artist..he doesn't have knowledge in our laws,so what's the use..it's not only the money can help the country for progress and development, but his abilities, his work as a congress and lawmaker.

Not a good idea for me. I wonder why Manny doesn't realize that it's not that easy. As a boxing champion he knows that to become one, a lot of training is needed. He went through a lot before becoming a big name in the boxing field. It's a lot lot harder in politics, if he wishes to be a Congressman then he should train hard for it.
If helping people is the reason, I wish Manny would realize that he could help other people more by not entering politics. In a radio discussion, a commentator even said that Manny is already and has been helping the Filipino people. Second to Kris Aquino, he is one of the top taxpayers of this country. Not only that, he's been helping many people with their livelihood, hospital bills, medicines, basic needs, etc. He doesn't need to be a Congressman to help. I wish he would realize that. Also, he would realize that some people are just using him for their own interests.

i dont think it's a good idea...For me, Politics is not his passion..It good to hear that he really want to help our nation and those who are really in need..But do you think he really needs a position in a Congress to help and to serve, i dont think so...everyone of us can help even if were just an ordinary citizen...if he is really sincere to help nothing is impossible.. and besides i dont think he has the capabilities to be a congressman..Im not degrading him or what..Let's accept the fact that he's a great boxer and he really needs time and effort for that...

I don't think that its right that manny will run for congress right now. He may be very good in boxing but not in politics. I might say not for not maybe i say that you may not do two things at the time. For example he run for election then he won.. How can he concentrate in boxing if would do for the congress? Isn't it takes 2 months for his practice whenever he has a fight? What he do say in within 2 months he's not doing he's work in congress... i might say not now i think when he just retires in boxing that is the right time to serve the people. And their are more many ways to serve people.

the political ring is different from the boxing ring. you cant just punch your way to legislate a law. i can imagine manny getting beat up(metaphorically) in congress and all it will do is bring out the worst in the people's champ.
advice is stick to the boxing ring.if he truly wants to run... run for city councilor )

Piiiiifff. Just laugh about it whenever i hear news about his candidacy. It's not that I'm underestimating him, it's just that there so many reasons to help other people.

i think it is a bad idea for manny pacquiao to run in congress. i think he should run as councilor or a mayor. at least in regional portion of politics. what does manny pacquiao knows about politics? hey, im a fan of manny pacquio in boxing but if he really run for congress, man, politics will eat him alive. his good reputation and achievements he provided for our country will disappear. i think he should just stay in boxing, he'll be more successful there than in politics. the administration is just using manny pacquiao, it's very sad.

well, i think it's better for him to stay in his career (boxing), it's for the better. he will only be use by our government officials, and it's unfair for him right? we all know that he is really successful. it would be better not, so his reputation will stay as is.

manny pacquiao may be one of the fierce boxers in the world, but running for Congress is definitely way out of his league...a jump too far and too early...i'd prefer him running for city-kagawad or provincial-kagawad, so that he would have a feel and experiene being a legislature...getting acquainted with the procedures and all...its all about preparations, developing his skill as a legislature.. and when his ready for the big seat (Congress), he may run...but definittely not now...
