whenever i watch the evening news, it just gives me this sad, sometimes very sullen feeling afterwards -- all of these killings, these politics, these problems in my country and things like these... i know that news is making us aware of things that are happening, but do you think that magnifying all the not so good news can do good? would it be better if news be magnified on the positive news??

i do watch news channel most of the time and i feel its healthy to watch both good and bad news..Imagine if u always get to eat something sweet will u be able to consume sweet with the same taste after a while.I think i wont be able to..So its always healthy to have a mix of everything this is also applicable to real life too.. :)

I find the news really depressing. I think there should be more positive things reported on. Unfortuantely this was tried in the USA and no one watched the happy news.
I just don't watch the news now so I don't have to be dragged down by all the bad stuff.

the news people cover up all thats happening around be it good or bad. now a days there are separate programs about those killings and how the police got at those criminals. though these are reconstruction of the entire true incidents, they intend to create awareness. and most of the times the news seems to exaggerate the happenings which makes me sick nevertheless the news covers up positive developments. but gotta know everything atleast whats happening in the city where one is living.
