I finally got hijacked also!

I was hoping that this type of thing would have been stopped by now, but of course with new members starting on a regular basis there is always likely to be someone who is going to try to get away with it. I know how offensive this kind of act can be because I had quite a few of my posts copied word for word on another forum, and it is difficult not to feel angry about it. I suggest that all members reading this check the 2 discussions and report the issue, then hopefully some action will be taken.

Wow. People do that knowing that its against rules. Mylot will answer these people accordingly. You are lucky that you got to know about this.

I have had some of my comments copied and pasted in the past as well so I know how you feel. It is ashame that people have to resort to cheating and stealing to try and get paid but as long as we report them, they will have their copied and pasted comments deleted. It is good that myLot does something about it as well as terminating the person cheating. I think it has happened to many of us and sometimes we probably have not noticed.

That is one thing that really annoys me!!! I know how hard it is to think of unusual topics to discuss and then some darling steals it. I have commented in his discussion and reported him as well!!!!

wow, i didn't know there were hijackers in my lot, i mean sure, i've heard that people copy discussions from here and paste them in other sites and other forums, and i don't condone that either. But to copy and start the same discussion and in the same site, that's so dumb and downright pathetic, it's like returning to the scene of the crime, but then obviously if a person is dumb enough to not even have something to discuss then they're obviously dumb enough to do that too, and i just hope this person didn't think he could get away with it just by changing the first line, cuz that would make him or her really really stupid. i just hope your discussion got more responses than his, and even if it didn't, atleast now we'll know who's real and who's the copycat. you must admit though, you might be a little flattered that your discussion has been worth stealing, are you?

Thats a pretty crappy thing to do. Hopefully it can be resolved. Who knows how many of that persons other posts are stole as well!

What do people get out of doing that? They aren't getting rich. I would hate to think that I could not think for myself and had to copy things to make a penny. It is just crazy!!!

Not very nice. Did he think it would go unnoticed. It makes you think, if they can stoop so low as to steal a discussion, what are they doing elsewhere?

I've had this happen several times too .. what I don't understand is why anyone bothers to do it .. a) they know they'll get caught sooner or later and that it may mean they get thrown out with no earnings .. b) when it happened to me I did a 'trial' .. I looked for and found someone elses response and pretended I was copying and pasting it into a dicussion .. then I wrote my own piece of a similar length of words .. it took LESS time to write my own words .. than to find and copy and paste someone elses response !! So these 'hijackers' are both wasting precious time AND risking getting thrown out for doing it .. tsk tsk .. just write your own stuff people it's quicker .. !!

Yes they keep doing so and it happened to another friend of mine before, I checked and the copy is already deleted, mylot doesn't tolerate this and hopefully people will keep reporting it whenever they see it..

That is really cheap to copy ones discussion.Such a mechanism of pasting discussions must be avoided or necessary actions should be taken by mylot against such people.

Well at least the other discussion only got 2 responses. I don't understand how people think they could get away with that. It's not like it was a really common topic that would just blend in. I hope this doesn't happen to you again.

It is sad that a person has to copy your discussions. I went to the link and the copy has already been removed. All of us here are not like that so keep having an enjoyable time on myLot...Take care...

Lol I went to see it and it has been removed, which I am glad about as the Person needs to be removed when they do something like that.

In my eyes if they pirate a discussion I'm flattered. They must have thought I got good ratings so that's why they did it. Good luck to anyone that does this. I don't know but I may rate them a " + " as it was my post to start with & report them at the same time. HAHAHA! HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!

I got this message when trying to view it "This discussion no longer exists or has been removed due to a discussion guideline violation" ... so well done to the mylot police for acting quickly on this and removing it!! I think it's sad that people feel the need to copy others discussions - do they seriously believe they would get away with it??

The copy cat's post is gone now. How lucky you are that someone let you know about it! So, do you know what happens to this person now? Did they get banned from mylot?
