oh... there are people like that who just cannot pay back once they borrow money... some of them actually forget that they took money from us!
well i always make it a point to lend money to only those people who i know will return money... others i give a chance and if they dnt return money,i just refuse to pay again!

for me, i know what i've had not mine at all (especially the money). so, i give to anyone that whosneeded it, as long as i have the stock. but so far, i always have the stoct, thank God for that; if i'm out of stoct, then i say, i don't have. But the point here is, we have to be a wayout for others that need the money for possitively meaning. we need faith to do this of course.
for each people will be prosecuted as much/big as he/she has. this thing is locked, no excuse, thats one of eternall rule of all.

I have lent money to people in the past and sometimes they pay me back and sometimes they do not. I have never lent a large amount of money to anyone before. If I lend someone a dollar or less, I do not try and get the money back as that amount is not a big deal. If they keep asking me for money, I will not lend anymore til they do pay me back. I would just politely ask them or remind them that they owe me money. Tell them you will not lend them anymore money til they pay you back.

The second roommate that I had told me that his mother had kicked him out so I let him come live with me. He didn't have a job so I told him I would cover his half of rent until he could find one then he could pay me back. He got a job, but never paid me and he made me feel as if I couldn't even sleep in my own house. He still owes me $600 and I would love to get that money back from him, but I don't see it ever happening.

For the most part, when I lend money to people, they pay it back. I've even lent money to complete strangers, and been paid back.
I think perhaps "attitude" makes a difference. When I lend someone money, I pretty much "let it go" at that time... trusting the world to bring it back to me, if that's what is meant to happen. At the same time, I fully believe people have "good intentions," and it mostly turns out that they DO... even on the occasions when I have lent money to someone others have told me are "not trustworthy."

Everytime i lend someone some cash, i really don't expect it to be returned anymore. Because ive had a lot of experiences with people that i constantly lend money to and they never pay me back- and sometimes when its time for me to collect from them what they owe me,they would seem like they dont know me and sometimes, they even get mad if i keep on bugging them to collect their debt! i got frustrated- so now, im so careful not to lend money anymore- or if i did- i just wont consider a debt- Ill just think of it as lost money.. that way if in case they pay me- then great! if they dont, then it wont bother me...

Well I believe word is bond, if someone ask me for the money, meaning borrow it, I'm cool with them like that, I would give it to them, however, if they act like they don't want to give it back, I politely call or go over to where they are and ask about my money. I won't beat around the bush or work up a method, I just ask straight out...

I was an idiot and lent a bunch of money to a friend in need. He was about to have his electricity cut off, his heat cut off and be evicted from his place. SoI loaned him a bunch of money. It's been years, and since then he has gotten married, and his wife occassionally sends me checks, but he still owes me a ton of money. It was the stupidest thing I ever did...

Unfortunately I have come to the point of not lending people money, unless it is small amount that I can live with out. I once had a friend in high school that would consistently borrow money from me and always promised to return it. I have been out of H.S 12 years now and never saw a dime. In addition, I lent money a few times to my college roommate and it was like pulling teeth to get it back.
Given my experiences of lending money to friends and with not have much money to spare, I cannot recall lending money out unless it is a small increments that I can live without. This way if it is not returned, it is not a huge deal. The last time someone borrowed me from me they asked how they could repay me. I told him not to worry about it...

I seldom lend money to others unless I know that person really needs money.
I usually ignore the case and never ask when the money will be refunded and this always make the borrower who without trust dare not borrow money from me again.
A wise man said to lend money to others is easy but to get back your money is very difficult.
Unless you get help from a smart money lender with wide experience it is not easy to get your money 100% back.

I have ever lent money to a relative - out of obligation. The relative migrated overseas.
I also lent it to a friend to clear debts - out of pity. I lost contact.
Then I learnt that if you want to lend money to anyone, you must first be prepared to lose it all. I remembered it for life. I now only lent money to people whom I feel really deserved it.

The bestw ay to get money back is to ask for it. I know its awkward to ask for money but tis yours to begin with - so there should be no embarassment there. Luckily for me, whenever ive lent money ive always got it back without asking for it.

yes I have lent some money ...some friends of mine borrowed some money from me when they were in need...I don't mind doing this and you'll be sure I will do this again and again...for me the sentence "a friend in need is a friend indeed" is a true statement...of course I am happy to do this for people I love and I trust..they usually paid me back as soon as they could...one time I didn't want the money back and i turned it into a little present...it was a bit sacrifice for me and it was a good help for my friends

Many times but not fomrally. It is just informal lending of amount to my friends and close people. I would just ask them if they forgot about it or remind them of my need. They would definitely give the money back or make an arrangement.
By the way if you lend your money then make sure you are going legally by writing a promisory note and if they fail to repay they forfeit their property.
