You are so wrong!!!!!! I am a wife of a very great army man and i would never dream of it! Yes some of the wives do and have but there are also many how do not and would not. So you are wrong some may but not all wives. So i feel very offend by your comment.

I'm a military wife as well. But I live in VA. My husband just got back from deployment about a month ago. He was gone for 6 months. That is the longest time we have been seperated since we got married 25 years ago. The key is communication. Any way you can. And as often as you can. The wives of our group had monthly get togethers. My daughter who recently married a military man is now going thru the same thing. Her husband is deployed and will be gone for a little over a year. Is there an ombudsman you can get in touch with? They usually have info on the type of thing you are seeking.

Where in VA are you? My fiance is stationed at Quantico. I am in MO which is hard sometimes, but oh well. I can't wait until he's home!

Hello i am sorry to hear,my husband just got back 4mts ago from being in Iraq for a yr and it was the hardest yr of my life.I do not live near you but if you ever need some one to talk to or just yell at you can yell at me or just talk my e-mail is arethambirtch@yahoo.com

Hey there, I'm a military spouse as well, but I'm in Virginia and hubby's not deployed right now. I'm always available to chat online if you'd like. Check out myspace also, there's several really good military spouse/support groups. Oh and yahoo too!! When we got orders to Japan, hubby was always gone and I found several of these groups really great when I was feeling down. HTH!!

Another great resource is a family support center at your nearest military facility. Also, is he with a certain regiment, etc? You can network with the spouses of the people from his group too. Deployments can be rough, I've been a spouse for 13 years and was active duty myself prior to that, but they can also be an awesome experience, depending on what you do with the time they're away. If you'd like to chat online or email each other, let me know. I'll put you on my friend list.

Hi kathleen I no im quite late lol but I am an Army wife and I use the websites military.com and armywives.com, I no sure which branch your hubby is in but you can go to navywives.com , airforcewives.com and also marinewives.com. They are all good very support sites that will ladies from your area.
