I am not sure how many of us use Google for our daily researches - though I would guess probably some 85% at least. :P
Here's an article I came across that shares 12 quick tips to use Google like a pro. So instead of getting 5.8 billion search results, you can probably narrow it down to "only" 2,937 results.

Very good article! I didn't know a lot of that but is it just me or did they forget the + one. If you want to find sites that have more than one word but not in the same phrase you can use the +. Like if you want to find hair and nails, you can do hair + nails to exclude sites that don't have both. And you can combine too, like "Tom Cruise" + girlfriends - Penelope to find out info on Tom Cruises girlfriends other than Penelope.
