Can you really get free gifts and money from these sites?

I just recently signed up at a new website where they say that if you sign up, complete an offer, and then get others to sign up as well and do an offer as well, you can get a free Xbox 360 sent to your home for free, no charge.

The thing I want to know is do these sites really work? I mean, I just started out, and I also started on another site that helps you get referrals, but I'm so new at this, I'm not sure where to go or if anyone here has ever done this before.
If anyone HAS done this before...do you have any advice to someone who's fairly new at this?
I'd really like to hear what people here think about it, so let me hear your opinion on this...

I would just stick to good sites that you know pay such as swatcash and http://www.moratraffic.com, which is newer and has some nice payouts to their members. I know those sites give away prizes, but you have to build up points or SC, so they are more reputable I believe.

Heh, the funny part is...I'm already members of both those sites, and I hit SWATCash like crazy. SWATCash has really helped me make some huge money to help me pay the bills big time, it just that I was looking for an alternate way of making some more money on the web and I discovered this. I figured I might be able to get some of these gifts through referrals and sell the items online via e-bay to make some more money.
But I'm not sure if whether or not sites like these are legit or not.

I knew you were a member of SC as I have seen your name on the forum there. Mine is jbsassoc in the forum there, and I have made almost $1000 in one month on SwatCash. MoraTraffic is newer and will have a lot of potential, as it already is getting big offers on there as well as many freebies.

I wouldn't try or trust those sites that promise you big things like an Xbox 360 just for completely some "free" offers. I've tried a lot of different sites to earn money and prizes online and I finally decided to make a website with all the ones that have worked for me..and they're all free so there's really nothing to lose! I have been paid SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS CASH from this web site for playing simple games. There is no cost of any kind, unless you choose to visit and spend at sponsors stores for bonus kickbacks, and there is NO RISK WHATSOEVER!
