Do long distance relationships really work?

rarely ,rarely my dear. ls just not healthy enough, relationships should be made to get to know each other ,and that involves physical contact of the individuals involved . Cause what you'll study from a person at just a glance , might take months or even years to know if the person is not in site.

I believe that a long distance relationship CAN work, but ultimately if it is going to last, the two people will have to move closer together at some point. Of course, there may be a circumstance where a long distance relationship is what both want and prefer due to other reasons. In this case, such a relationship could last, but only in that particular boundary.

i have just finished talk to my friend over the phone. She is getting married next week. She is marrying someone from other country and they have been in contacting through phone and emails all this long. Finally the guy comes and proposed to her family and that's it! They are going to get marry. So I guess, there is nothing wrong with the long distance relation, as long as you are really honest and love each other.

If you want to,one thing i'm sure of is that in a long distance relationship i wont be faitful,i need to be with someone to fill my needs and that may end the other relationship,there's several reason why long distance relationships dont work,one reason could be that you are lonely for a long time untill you find someone to spend the time with,and you may decide to end the long distance relationship and stay with short distance relationship

It will work if both yourself and your partner commit to it. I had 6 years long distance (Delft,Netherlands- London,UK)relatioship with my husband before we got married. It worked well because we visited each other once a month and call each other twice a week and of course email. Unfortunately there was not messanger then..

see for any relationship commitment is required commitment is the neccesity of every relationship it does nt matter that u are far away or close to each other some time it happens that u spend 22 hours out of 24 but u are not close wid each other and sometime it happens that only one talk with a person during a lifetime that person becomes your closest

it depends on the person in that relationship it they really want to make it work.

No they don't, and I'll tell you why. Because you talk too much on the phone you get bored from each other, if you do fight you don't really make up because there is no physical connection, you try to make yourself tied to your partner but you realize you can't because you need a physical connection, it's impossible.

i cannot give an answer saying "yes they work" or "no, they don't" simply because it depends on people involved in a story... i personally can say that i cannot support a long distance love story, i need to have my boyfriend close to mine and see him almost dayly

It depends on a relationship or the couple communicate, some still work some are not.
