I bought an Ebook and wanted to make money from it on Ebay. I don't even know where to get started or how to do this. If someone would please give me some tips or advice on this. How do you even resell it or add it to Ebay? Do I need a site to download it to first and if so how do I do this? I am a begginer and need all of the help that I can get. If you have any helping links or books that might help then please tell me where I can find them.

I may be a bit confused, but I think it is wrong if you are wanting to make money off of someone elses writing and work. An ebook should only be sold by the writer or publisher. I may not be understanding clearly what you are trying to do, could you explain it a little better to me.

You purchase products for resale, everyone should know this. I buy products for my benefit and no it is not wrong. This is why people buy them with 100% rights to sell. I am going to write my own Ebook but wanted to give it a test drive. You can go on Ebay and purchase them with the full right to sale and make a profit. I am also going to start a site with my own. I don't know why you think that it is wrong. I am trying to put the product on Ebay, yet I am not completly sure on how to do this. I would like someone to answer this post with a little bit of knowlege about the subject instead of coming on here and writing a comment telling me that I am in the wrong for doing this. If you where going to say this then you should have wrote me a personal message to tell me.

I'm sure you know what you're talking about and that this is legitimate, but I've never heard of buying the rights to an Ebook and selling it. This is new to me! So are other people buying/selling this same book or do you have exclusive rights to it now?

Most Ebooks give you the one hundred percent rights to sell. If you go to Ebay then you will see a mass list of Ebooks that are on there and most of these have been resold a lot. There are also people who own stores on Ebay who use other people Ebooks to buy and resell. You can sell them anywhere as long as you obey what they put in the rights. Some people do not want you to change the original name and text before you sell it.

Providing you have the rights to resell it you can go about it in a couple of ways.
Get your own domain and hosting then upload the ebook to your filemanager - that way when it's sold you can direct the buyer to the link where they can download it for themselves.
Keep it on your desktop all zipped up - if someone purchases it just email it to them after you receive payment.
Ebay are not as keen on selling digital products as what they used to be so in some cases you need to make sure you add in any disclaimers etc - also make sure that with any rights the came with the book you understand what's involved and what price you can sell it at etc.

Hey,
I'm not sure how some people do it but one way you can is like I mentioned in this repsonse and up the page a bit.
Once you have the ebook you want to sell. I haven't done it on ebay for a long time but I think you need a store (I don't think you can sell digital products auction style they need to be buy now) so you create a new item (like you would if you were going to sell anything else) then add your information - this can either be what you write out personally or as I said most resale ebooks have some sort of sales page which you can copy in. Set your price and have the page put on ebay.
If someone buys it - and you get the email that says item sold once you receive payment you can then either email them the copy or if you've uploaded the ebook to your own hosting send them to the link to download it.
There are ways to set it automatically so as soon as they pay the link gets sent to them but I don't know how to do that - sorry.

You know a lot about this. Thank you for replying to this discussion. I have another question for you, if you ever come back here and if not then maybe someone else will see it and answer. How do you copy the books onto EBay? I mean, how do you physically put the books on Ebay? Do you just put in the Domain name of the site or what? I am kinda slow when it comes to computer stuff? I am going to figure this out and I don't care how long it takes me.

Hi Rosaflorence, i see you have a ebook and want to sell it on ebay and make some money, right that is a good idea and i hope along with the ebook they have given you a sales letter or if it is not there, no need to worry all you have to do is just to write some important points and how it helps the buyer and you can use the ebay seller form to do this it is a HTML editor and it is very simple to use, first thing is you need to select a good title for you ebook one important thing is that you title should have a ebook or ebooks word in you title for example "How to Make a Living through mylot - ebook/ebooks" it should be 55 char length and also include that you have got the resell rights for this ebook, this is for the referance of the ebay staff.
i will give you a link where you can see a sales letter and also a ebook for free where you can resell it on ebay http://www.moneysavedeals.com
i will give you a live ebay link where you can see how the seles letter is writen and also how to give instructions to ebay staff, so that they should not stop you listing , with this link you will get the full idea

thanks for the link. Also, I wanted to add some friendly advice for you to use. Here on Mylot you will actually get paid more money if your post are much longer and have relevance to the subject. The reason for this is because it is based off of keywords and the more words you use the more search friendly that it becomes. I noticed that you are fairly new to the site so I thought that I would add a little friendly advice. Good luck to you though.
