Would you go under the knife?

Of course, we are what happy with what we have right now. But putting vanity aside, sometimes I wish to go under the knife just to have that added convenience. Say, I've been working out for two years now and it is really difficult to have that ideal abs. Sometimes, I wish to go through the lipo procedure then continue to work out to make the process more simple. How bout you? Have you thought of going thru under the knife?

I have considered it. I don't know if I could actually go through with it though. I don't know. Maybe after my children are older and vanity is no longer a concern, I could make a better, more informed decision. but if I did, I would want the works, like on that old show "The Swan" lol

Yes. I also believe that vanity is not directly correlated with it. Sometimes it presents as a need instead of a want.

i don't think i would every 'go under the knife' because i think that the way you are is the way God created you. So why should you try to change His work? i find it offensive to Him to do so. the only reason i think someone shud get it is if their life is at risk due to extreme obesity. otherwise i dont think its necessary.. and its extremely expensive. plus im happy with my body. i always have been.. and it really is about inner beauty... if ur comfortable with urself u wudnt need anything like that.

Would I have surgery just for vanity no, I am aware of my body and its less than perfect places, I would not have any surgery just because I would want my body to be different.
I have had surgery for health reasons, and twice it was the best thing that ever happened to me, my tonsils came out, and I had a polyup removed, that was preventing me from breathing properly.
I had also had surgery done for my sinus' problem again and it has been a complete nightmare, taking away a part of my life.
I am overweight and while I would love to lose weight there are reasons medically why this is a problem for me, fine, I am not willing to get gastric bypass, I have known of a couple of people this was a good thing for I have heard of to many horror stories, coupled with the fact that something as minor as the surgery I had for my sinus, caused me so many complications, I wouldn't consider it, the risks are to high.
I would consider liposuction to reduce some of the weight for one reason, I am not at a heathy weight. If I had to loose ten or even fifty pounds I would not consider it.
I have to lose more than that, and yet despite that, I still have not done anything in the direction, I am ever hopeful that there will be healthy natural solution that truly works.
Unfortunately we are taught to worship an image of beauty choosen for us by others.
And yes I am the first to admit that supermodels are gorgeous.
But it is unrealistic to think that I can look like that with out the kind of back up they have.
Their income is based on their looks, they have teams of people working with them to keep them looking that way.
The real world is we are not perfect. We are human, and no matter how attractive a person is, unless they are comfortable with themselves first, they will never be satisfied with their looks.
I knew a woman who was so attractive she could have been a model, she liked exercise, and made a point of working out at the gym every day. She was tall elegant, long hair, good skin, didn't need a lot of make up to look that way.
And yet she was always concerned about her ugly neck, and her ugly feet. I never saw her feet, but her neck was long and graceful like a ballerina's but she some how got it into her head that it shouldn't be as long as it was and so it was ugly.
She felt unattractive because of it, while I was at the time slightly over weight and very happy with who I was, I was comfortable in my own skin.
A friend of mine who was a man said that even though other women have better bodies, the reason I kept getting asked out and hit on was because I had a vibe, I asked what he meant, he said I was comfortable with who I was, it made me feel or seem more attractive than the considered model norm would class me as.
first appreciate your own body for its good features, enjoy it, and then others will reflect your own positive feelings.
Surgery is to risky for the sake of vanity.

i agree. maybe its your personality that keeps you above the rest. for health reasons though, maybe one should consult a doctor and possibly keep surgery as an option specially if it is already a high risk factor.

I have considered having a boob-job, just to get them bigger. I have always been self-consious about how small they are even though my husband says they are fine. I think I would feel more confident if they were bigger (and my belly was flat again after having two kids) I wonder if it will ever get better =)

maybe if it gets your self-confidence higher - then it probably is a great idea. as long as the procedure is safe.

Yes, yes I would! If I could afford it. I have had gastric bypass surgery and losing weight that fast leaves alot of extra skin. I would love to have lipo and a boob job too.

That's so typical of us happymomof2. perhaps changes in these body parts will not make us perfect but nevertheless make us more complete.

maybe dieting and exercise can start you up. then when you can afford it - go for the liposuction. at least you can say to yourself that you are a work in progress.

Yes I have thought about it. I lost some weight and thought about geting something like a tummy tuck. Unfortunatly I didn't do it and gained the weight back. I have briefly thought about the gastric bypass but I hear you have to be on vitamian pills the rest of your life and I don't want that.

I would never do it. I have enough health problems without considering any unneccesary surgery. I'm not saying I have something against other people doing so, but I just don't think it's important enough to me. I do what I can to stay fit, and I don't worry about what I can't do. Maybe I'm just too practical.

i would never consider having any form of operation for that kind of thing, for 2 reasons:
a) my partner wouldnt let me have it done
b) there are far too many risks

i`m not happy with the way i look...but the idea of a surgery scares the hell out of me...i`m so afraid that something will go wrong and i`ll be crippled for life..i don`t want to take that risk...so i must accept myself as i am..maybe in the future i`ll get the courage to go under the knife...i can`t stand the idea of pain..i can`t stand the idea that this intervention will hurt...is not the fact that i can`t stand pain...in fact i just can`t stand the idea of it..so in conclusion i wouldn`t want to go through any procedure...at least not now..

I hope you all revisit this topic.
You don't Have to get liposuction or lipodissolve for the results you want. I don't think the company ships outside the U.S. ( but I'm sure one of us would ship it for you.)
There is a product that can reduce your fat and tone and firm. It used to be available only by going to a spa or medspa.
I've tried it, and it works. I just needed to tone up. My friends and family have tried it. One of them has done six of the applicators and taken off 15 pounds.
Before you seriously consider surgery, please try this first. You dont' need to put your body through that or spend that much money. You have nothing to lose. It's all natural and it's afforable. Even if you toyed with the idea of a procedure like this, you've got to try this. You will not regret it. It totally kicks butt!
www.wraps2riches.com
You want the Ultimate Body Applicator and the Defining Gel
Remember to only do one at a time (unless you're doing yor arms or legs) and you MUST drink a lot of water. If you don't, the toxins and inflammation that have been broken down wil be reabsorbed into your body instead of flushed out.

It's definitely something I've thought about, but I don't think I could do it...if not for the chance that something could go wrong (and it would be my luck), but the unbarable pain that stems from it for a while after. I'm just a big chicken :o)

I had a mini tummy tuck a month ago. Due to excess skin on the stomach. It hurt like hell for a week. Would I do it again? Sure, I would. Was it neccessary? Yes, to avoid infection. They put my six pack back in place, so I don't have a 12 pack anymore. I feel alot better.

Yeah i have thought about it then thought about the cost and the possible complications
As you get older it seems near on impossible to lose the couple of lbs gained over Christmas without seriously beasting yourself in the gym and on the road.
If had the cash and the bottle i guess i would consider it

I would never go under the knife. Ive seen it on tv, and although most results are great, the pain is great as well. Im too scared. Also, I cant think of anything that I would want changed that bad to pay money and suffer so much for.

I always like to look good but also aware that I am not young anymore. But I still don't have the guts to go under the knife due to worry of any side effects or consequence after the operation.
So at the moment, I am using abs swinger and indoor bycicle to keep fit.
Never say never, maybe one day I will choose the easy way - go under the knife.
