I received an email on a topic about 99 steps to live to a 100. You can buy also the book: Dare to live to 100, by Dr. Bortz. It seems interesting and I would like to live healthy to a 100 years. go to this link: www.thirdage.com/bortz/steps/
Tell me what you think about it.

I don't think I want to like up to 100, I would prefer a fufilling life and do not want to be dependent on other, by the time, I am 80 plus, I would proably not mobile and the people around me need to help me to get around, then I do feel the point to life up to 100.

Don't take me wrong, I wouldn't want either to be a burden to anybody and I want to do the things by myself, but if I apply the steps starting right now, maybe, if God wills, I will live to a 100.

Me too, that's what I mean, if we take care of ourselves starting now and hopefully God will grant us to live to a 100, happily, healthy and doing the things for ourselves. That's why we need to follow the steps that this link or if you buy the book teaches us.

The title, third age, sounds familiar, I may have read an article or something. Maybe the same e-mail you got. I plan on living to at least 100, I had very long lived family on my mom's side, even with bad habits. Dad's family lived pretty long as well. I have a healthier mindset, so I bet I make it.

If God will, you will live to a 100. I want to take care of myself so I can live to a 100 too. They also say that if your spiritual life is with God and you attend church you will have a strong life as well.

I dont think that i want to live to be 100. Maybe years ago, I would have but society dont put much value on the elderly these days. It is sad as they have so much to offer. Society is quickly becoming a world of being disposable and I think that is including people. I see so many elderly people who are lonely because their families dont visit them anymore. I want to live only as long as I can care for myself and have my mind.

Well the tips that this link recommends is for you to take care of yourself and follow the steps and hopefully, if God wills, we will have a long, healthy and happy life until we hit 100. Yes, I know many elderly are not being taken care by their families and they end up in the nursing homes but if you have a positive mind, you can have a happy life.

How old are you now? I know we will live until God wants us to live. But for me, if I am healthy and happy and can do the things by myself, I would want to live to a 100, that doesn't mean I will live until then, because nobody knows how long we will live.

No I don't think I want to live that long unless I am still healthy and able to get around and do things on my own

A HEALTHY 100 yes, heck as long as you have your health and your mental wits I'd live to a zillion. It's once quality of life goes down hill I prefer not to keep going.

Seems like you have a happy relationship with your husband. Well start now by following the steps it suggests in the link, you and your husband, and if God wills, you will live to a 100.

I don't think so. But as long I'd like to live as long as possibly, providing I'm reasonably healthy, and not reliant on others for care.

Since my grandmother is in her 90's and other family members have also made it into their 90's, there is at least a good chance that it could happen. I hope though that if it does, that I could be able to still care for myself. I wouldn't want to be a burden on those around me.

You might enherit the long life from your grandmother. You never know, you might live to a 100, if God wills, and be able to take care of yourself, be healthy and happy.

I would only want to live to 100 if I'm healthy. I don't want anyone to have to take care of me. I would love to see me great great grandchildren.

I know i don't want to live to be 100. As soon as I no longer have a quality life I want to die. I do not want to have to deal with chronic pain or chronic diseases. But that is my opinion for my life, I understand not everyone will share my opinion.

I think it would be incredible to live to that age. Imagine all the things you can witness? I love talking to my grandmother and how when she was so young they didn't even have televisions. Only the wealthy owned cars. She's witnessed televisions becoming household items, cars becoming a necessity (at least around most of the U.S.), air travel not only becoming common but easily affordable. She has lived through both world wars and the depression. I think of all the things we have now that we take for granted, and what things will be like 20 years from now, 40 years from, even 60 years from now (when i'll be getting close to 100). What kinds of things do we think are impossible now that we will have in the next several decades? I don't think my grandparents believed you could carry a phone with you the size of a deck of playing cards when they were my age.

Yes, I would want to live to a 100 and see my great grandchildren and be able to tell them what I have witnessed and have them surrounded around me just like my grandmother did!

I wouldn't care as long as I was healthy. I would try to stay in shape as much as I could.
and eat the right foods. My grandfather lived to be 102 yrs old.
