Do you like to be complimented on a good cooked meal?

It's always nice when you are complimented on a job well done. no matter what it may be. when you cook or clean does your efforts go unnoticed or do your friends or family compliment you?

Everyone loves to be appreciated. Even someone who claims otherwise is often lying. :P
So if you see a job well-done, remember to show your appreciation! ;-)

I agree, honesty can hurt someones feelings. Being appreciated and being honest are two separate things. Thanks for posting!

Efforts should be praised even if th efood is not good...My husband loves good food...When the food is good,he doesnt react much...rather i keep on asking him how is it?so he has one pet answer that its always good when i dont say anything about it....so sometimes i ve to feel rewarded by his silence...

oh my, I do the same thing, especially if its something i put a lot of effort into. I will go fishing and ask if its good. Sometimes just him saying "mmmmmm" is thanks enough.

When I cook a good meal I always get a compliment from my husband.Atleast he remarks that the food taste very good.It satisfies my cooking effort. But my cleaning effort often goes unnoticed. On such time I feel very bad. After working hard at least I deserve a compliment.Sometimes I have to attract his attention to get compliment.During parties I like to get compliment from friends for food.Sometimes I am successful. Its an encouragent.

Yeah, I hear ya, If i were to be thanked and appreciated for all that I do in our household, the hubby and the kids would constantly be saying "thanks". sometimes they notice, but most times they dont, and that is sad. :(

I never lack for honesty with my husband. If something is very, very good, he tells me and if it is not so hot he tells me that too. It doesn't bother me much because I don't want to keep cooking something that nobody enjoys. The rest of my family will tell me everything is good, so I never really know when something is better than average.

we all have different taste, if it taste good to you but awful to him, he should be honest. I agree. even if it hurts our feelings.

am so blessed my hubby notices everything and is always complimatary but it wasn't always the case. when we were first married we had a roomate then another and I was the one at home so all was left for me and at first I was like hummm will do what needs done but no one noticed anything or even acted like they cared esp. my hubby so i went on strike. he came home from work laundry wasn't done his dinner wasn't done and I was just sitting there watching tv he was like what's up and I said if am not going to be appreciated I quit. it only took once lol The room mates started helping out after that also. please and thank you still count today!!!!

haha!! I watched a movie once about that very thing...where the mom went on strike and I think all the mom's in the neighborhood did the same thing. Every house on the block was in shambles.
Its always nice to be appreciated, no matter what it is you do for someone.
Thanks for posting.
