Who do you admire in life?
I could do a very long list, Although I'll cut it short and do 5 and say which I admire them.
1. My grandfather;
One of the most caring, funny and supportive people I've ever known. I always admired my grandfather even as a kid, I appreciate the way he'd go out his way to make someone else happy. I didn't really see this fully until he died and I still wished he was around. =)
2. My wife;
Go only knows how she's put up with me or her own family. If I can't stand them, god knows why she managed to live with them for sixteen years. I wouldn't wish that on anyone! We all admire our wife's right? I can honestly say if I knew her and she wasn't my wife or partner I would still admire how she deals and keep focused on life. So many times I've seen her heart being broken and It fills me with anger when people hurt her, although she the opposite. She remains calm and collected, pretty much like a gentle flower blowing the wind. =)
3. Dennis Bergkamp;
My favourite footballer of all time. I remember when arsenal first signed him and a lot of so called fans thank "henry" but it wasn't him who built us into a league winning side. He drove us better than veira and I always wished I could play more like him, the best up field passer. (truly amazing)
4. Mr Sheriff;
This was my first English teacher in senior school. I can remember being a rebel and shouting out when he was trying to read a story, I did this to put him off and he was the sort who found it funny. (he later become our head of year and improved my year for the better) which is one of the reason I admire him.
5. A lot of my friends;
I've got a select few friends which break their necks to look out for me and many times they've helped sort out problems for me. The main one always makes me laugh and he's a great guy. This also includes my mylot friends who I do think highly of, Like a scratched record I can't name any although I'm sure the biggest amount will be in here somewhere. (this discussion)
Thanks,
~Joey

I too have lots of family and friends I admire, both living and not living (alive in my thoughts and memories).
1. My son, he is growing up to be someone I can be proud of.
2. My grandchildren, they are truely a joy.
3. My 2 closest friends, who are always there.
4. My mom. such a brave lady.
5. My Lord and Savior, without him in my life, I would be lost.
Joey I wish I could meet you and your family outside of mylot, you sound like a terrific husband, dad, and just a good guy. Take care, I wish you and your family much good health and happiness for always.

Hi Joey, I'm sure I couldn't list everyone I admire in life, I guess there are a few of my friends who have been through some tough struggles and now coming out the other side. I must admire my daughter too, as whatever life as thrown at her she has picked herself up and carried on with things.

My husband. Despite evrything that life has thrown at him he is still the strongest, most thoughtful person I have every met. He has been in trouble in the past ( before I met him ) & has turned his life around & made damn sure he never gets to that point again.

I would Have to say i Admire My brother And My grandmother the most.
My brother was 16 when he found out he was going to have a child. He was 17 when his baby was born, and still graduated on time, And continued onto college, Had another child then to university, and Now is a full time police officer with our city's police services and is expecting his third child all with the same mother.
My grandmother raised 7 children mostly by herself as my grandfather was working, and when she was 54 decided to go to college, and now she is 71 and is a teacher of our ojibwe language.

My boyfriend. He really feels more like a husband. He is always there to pick me up when I am down, he is capable of everything I can't seem to do or get right. He fills the part of me that I thought I lost. He's brought back the happiness and love in my life. He's dedicated and one of the most caring people I've ever met. He's also a great cook and does laundry, so yea, he's basically the perfect catch :D

The person I admire the most in my life is my mom. She and my dad divorced when I was 7. She had 6 of 8 kids left at home and she raised us to be responsible, caring adults.
We didn't have a lot of money until she married my step-dad, but she always made sure we had everything we needed.
Even when she and my step-dad got married, she would make sure our needs were met first. My step-dad would practically have to force her into getting things for herself.
She is the single most giving person I've ever known. She disciplined us when we needed it, let us cry on her shoulder, and constantly told us she loved us.

I admire 2 people in my life. Rhese 2 people mean a lot to me. I have come across many people in my life and many a times i have felt the these are people whom i admire the most. But now as they are not in my regular life they have faded out from my life. Firstly I admire my mother. She was a lady of virtue, faith, strong will and full of honesty. She was a go getter. She was extremely strong willed. She fought until the last moment of her life. She never gave up, though she was suffering from cancer, that was in the last stage. I salute my mother. Secondly, I admire my husband. He is a gem of a person. He is everything that a girl would want in her life partner. He is an extremely loving and doting husband, a caring son, affectionate and loving father of two beautiful kids and a sincere person who believes in the principles of Gandhi. He always abide by the truth.I was totally naive when we got married. He slowly and patiently taught me the ways of the world, helped me in controling my temper, etc., which would otherwise have marred a married life. Hats off to these two people in my life, without whose support and guidance I would not have been the person that i am today.

I admire my husband for a lot of reasons. One being that he is always optimistic, and that he can always see the potential in people even when they cant see it in themselves. I admire him for his ability to forgive as well.
I admire HIS grandfather, who is 103 and lived his life as a farmer, and was good at it.
I admire all of my friends who have children, ebcause they may not know it, but i am learning a lot about motherhood as I watch my friends become mothers. It's great.

The person i admire most is my MOTHER....for all the hardships that she was going through in life i could say she's a great mother of all times. She has a very big heart, a very compassionate mother though vulnerable but she stay to be calm in most situation. She's second to none.Though there are times that i could'nt understand the things she done but in most cases i found out how a good mother she was to us her children.I was very proud to have a mother like her and for now that im already became a mother too, she would be a good example that i would follow in raising my children.
