How can people reply to my question if it is not displayed for a sufficient time? It is displayed there forever till it is cleared. It just gets moved to the back when discussions newer than yours get posted. You don't need to worry too much on these count as those who are answering this section of discussions will go down the pages and your discussion will be taken up if it is interesting enough for them. Having 5 replies for a discussion is not half-bad - at least, 5 people are interested enough to reply! See that as an encouraging sign instead. ;-) One way to get more replies would be to actively respond to other people's discussions too. Friendship is a give-and-take... you can't expect your discussions to be popular if you do not take time and effort to oblige others too. Hope this helps. ^^

I noticed that you have already picked the best response and your discussion is only 5 hours old. This will stop some from answering your discussion. You need to give it at least one day before you pick the best. I have some discussions that have gotten 0 responses but I just keep on posting. It's not a big deal. I never get a lot of responses. Just don't give up sooner than later you will hit on a subject that will get lots of responses. Best of luck Kowgirl

i didn't get much replies for my discussions as well... but i am just being patient and even after one month later, one or two people still responding to my discussion... it doesn't have to do with luck at all... just be patient...

hey yar , to tell you the fact the discussions that we start here do stay in the screen for a very short period of time so till some one sees it it will , go in further pages as there are many who post continuously

sorry i guess people may not have the idea that you have an untapped source of knowledge.Kepp trying one day someone will notice like i have right now.

i think the only thing which can make your discussion strong is its quality......make some good and quality discussions to get started...dont believe in to be starting mre and more.....and there is no matter as you think to be unluky just get trying and you will be getting much responses..as this discussion is really attractive to get answered.....so i am responsing so just keep trying and you will be benefitted.......

Don't worry too much, your not the only one out there, my responses have been similar to yours. They say to make friends but I did that and still none respond. But it dosn't matter anyway, I'll just keep on trying.

This is a process we have to pass through: Though you want to discuss the matter then you must write to mylot team about and get back their answer to understand the process! I have not faced the same as you have faced but if you have posted your discussion issue properly then you will have easy access to start new topic. I am also doing same thing and not facing any kind of problem till the date! We can start new discussion any time but if we dont get responce/s then it is not a fault of the mylot site! There may not be such member who are interested in that topic! Some time it will take days to get any responce but you also have to visit other's discussions and add your point of view! Perhaps rating system has an impact also that's why start to rate the discusions!

Hello abhi, I will not explain to you anymore about what you posted. Almost everyone had given you an idea of what you must do. Don't despair, take heart. I also started like that. In fact, 2 of my discussions with 0 response was luckily answered by a good friend here just the other day and its a month old discussion already. Anyway, welcome to mylot. well you can be glad now!!! this post will give u 12 posts including mine!! well dear, what i have understood in the limited time tht i was in mylot that topics that circulate well in mylot are the ones with universal appeal... there are people from different countries and cultures here... if u start something that would only interest a portion of this population, then only they wil reply... and there wont be any guarantee that they would be all present the time when u post your topic!

You have to be patient. Only ask questions from your interests and use more than 3 full sentences that explain or give examples to your title. Once you get used to doing that, more will answer. I had to learn, too!

Get some "friends" here, so that they would like to reply the discussions you have started. It is a must that the position of your discussion will drop. Because there are so many people in mylot, and there are so many of them posting all the time. It is not possible to hold your post in the first place all the time. What do others think?

i am also facing same problem but i guess it is about who have more contact in my lot. if ur contact list is more then all will be seeing ur discussions and u will get more replies. i hope it works for u.

Hello to you too. I'm new here also and I have just started 2 discussions. What I am concentrating on right now is responding to discussions. I think it would really help if we could receive some tips on how to be a good mylot member from veteran members of mylot.

maybe you can make a better tab that most of mylotters will search or areadt tab that topic.. and maybe that your luck is bad as u say.. make the topic mo interesting i say..
