When you are driving in town or on a trip and driving in your car do you tend to listen to the radio or listen to CD's? Or do you do both?
I tend to listen mainly to local radio stations when I am in and around town. If I am on a trip, I will pop in a CD when I get bored. If I can find decent music on the radio, that is what I usually do.

I usually have a selection of cds in the car, our local radio stations are usually pretty boring, I prefer rock and goth music in the car.

I always listen to the cd, I hardly ever put on the radio, only to hear traffic news if I knew I was driving through a hotspot. I have tonnes of cds in my car, so I never get bored with the same ones. Most of my cd collection in the cars is the 80s decade. It's nearly always pop music I will listen to. Anything from UB40 to Duran Duran, Fleetwood Mac to Roxy Music. Keeps me relaxed and stress-free.

See the radio is still useful..hehe. I love listening to local radio and keeping up with the news. The traffic is horrible here after Hurricane Katrina and traffic reports is a must on the drive into work. This morning there were wrecks everywhere. I was able to get off the interstate but the traffic was still bundled up and backed up forever.

When I am driving around I listen to CDs that I have made. These have my favorite songs on them. I cannot stand radio because we only have about 4 local stations and they have nothing but a bunch of talking. I mean seriously, one day I listened for over 30 minutes and had not heard a single song! That is when I started making CDs! We also have a problem in this town of the disc jockeys playing too much country music!

It all depends on my mood. The radio usually has either the same music that I don't like, or it contains new music that I want to discover. So many times when I am tired of listening to cd's, I will turn on the radio to see if anything new is coming out. If not, then I will hurriedly put the cd back in the cd-player. LOL

I have to have the local radio station on while I'm driving or I will go nuts. I would love to have the satelite radio but can't afford it so I guess I'll just have to put up with the commercials. I don't get to listen to cd's cuz my kids take them and I can't find them so just the radio for me.

I listen to 1 radio station and that's it. If it's too many commercials (which happens sometimes) I try one more station. I don't even really know any others :)
IF the station plays a song I don't like, I always have a CD popped in so I can hit play until that song on the radio is over. Sometimes I listen to a whole CD, but since I only have 6 CDs in my car I've heard them so many times I'm done with them.
On a trip is the hardest b/c I can never find a station! In those cases, I gotta bring plenty of CDs.

I agree with you on traveling. You need to bring a lot of CD's with you. I like to have a variety of CD's and generes of music for long trips. It seems when you finally find a radio station that you like it goes out of range and you have to start all over again. I would rather listen to CD's in this case!

I listen to CDs because our radio doesn't work. Even if I had a radio though, I still will listen to CDs more.

I usually listen to the radio. Most of the time I'm only in the vehicle for a short time. I have my favorite stations programmed on the radio.
I have to use a portable with adapter to play CD's. If I'm on a long drive, I do sometimes listen to Cd's.

My radio is broken so right now I do a lot of singing, or bring along a portable CD player. I will be I will be replacing it though with a brand new stereo. Then I will be listening to CDs all of the time. The radio is ok once in a while, but I usually only listen to it if I want a weather update.

I always listen to the radio. If for some reason I can't it drives me crazy and I actually have trouble driving. My favorite is the local station from the university 2 blocks from me or Family Life Radio. When traveling I sometimes resort to tapes or CDs because I can't find a radio station I like.

While driving I listen to music. It can be from the local radio stations or from a CD. I don't like to listen to other programmes while driving. Music is soothing and tension relieving and inspiring too.

When I'm in the mood for something specific, I put on a cd. But rather than listening to same all recorded music from the same all cds, I turn on the radio aswell. The thing is that on the radio music is random, songs are random. Sure there are two or three songs you don't like, but the rest of them are usually the good ones. I even don't pay attention to the radio, but when a good, well known song pops up, it gets my attention and I sing a little, and so on... That's how the drive time passes...

The thing with radio stations these days are so many programs are syndacated and pre-recorded. You will end up listening to the same thing over and over. This drives me crazy. My favorite station in town still has live DJ's and they play a lot of requests whichs keeps the songs from being the same thing and in same order.

I usually start with the radio. If the stations are all playing the same old stuff, then I put in a CD. I really want to get an adapter so that I can play my ipod in the car. I could just put it on shuffle and not hear the same song twice on a drive.

Most of the time it's CD's. Probably ones I've made. But occasionaly. I have a feature artist. Rod Stewart at the moment. I do like a bit of Radio on- until the DJ's start wittering alot of that feel good rubbish. If I get the timing right I can listen to my record - then the radio alternately. However the radio is useful for seeing if there are any jams ahead.
