Do You Like Starbucks?

There is a new Starbucks going in down the street right across the street from an established coffee house. There are already seven Starbucks in our town of 55,000 people. Why do they need to build another and compete with a local business. On top of that Starbucks is not very good coffee and it is really expensive for what you get. I have never had a good cup of coffee from Starbucks. It is always bitter no matter which blend I order. You have to add a lot of sugar and cream to mellow it down and this is from a person who used to prefer black coffee. Have you ever seen someone order black coffee from them? I haven't! Do you like Starbucks or is it just a prestage thing that makes people buy from them?

I think the same thing, everyone of their coffees taste the same, and bitter, depends, some of the coffee they send me is bitter and some are great. That's all I drink now. I am getting one this week from the both of them called Arabian Mocha Sienna or something like that. $17.00 lb.

That is good coffee if it comes from Gevalia. Their coffee is really good. I did not know Starbucks could be mail ordered but I would not get it even if it were. Try Gevalia it is cheaper and much better.

I've never had their coffee, but I love their vanilla bean frappochinos(spell?). They are so yummy. We don't have one here, so I only get to have one when we travel to a town nearby, so I haven't had very many. Do you think it could be the people making your coffee that makes it taste that way?

I have had bad coffee at every Starbucks I have been to. I prefer real coffee over all the other drinks that they offer. None of that latte this and cupachino that. Just real coffee! And it always tastes burnt and bitter no matter where I get it.

I personally only like 1 drink from the which is a Quad Venti White Chocolate Mocha. Just in case you don't know what the Quad means is I think the drink doesn't have enough coffee so I have the add an extra shot of espresso to make it stronger. Their cold drinks already come with 4 shots and so when I get them usually I just get them normal because if you ask for an extra shot then all you get is espresso and not any of the stuff you're paying for.

I'd much rather go to a local coffee place than buy starbucks. They are seriously overpriced. Some of their stuff is good, but it depends what you order. I hate it when I pay $4 for a medium sized coffee or mocha and it tastes bad. They are also selling coffee in the grocery stores now and it is way expensive. If I'm going to pay $8 for a small bag of coffee, it'd better be fair trade.

Starbucks is probably my least-favorite coffee chain. I still find myself ending up there every once in a while, but I agree with you. I've never had a cup of coffee that I truly enjoyed. I like a lot of cream and sugar in my coffee, but to get it to the flavor I like, it takes so much more at Starbucks than anywhere else that it ends up feeling like I'm drinking a sort of sugary slush...especially near the end of the cup. I wish they had more traditional flavors of coffee too...they tend to favor these really exotic things.

I agree that they're really overpriced and their regular coffee isn't very good. But there is one thing there that I LOVE. The gingerbread latte is SO good. And it's only available during the holiday season, so that's the only time I go to Starbucks. :)

I am not a fan of Starbucks coffee, but I do like their peppermint hot chocolate, and their sandwiches...which are way too expensive, but I like 'em anyway.

I think most chain coffeehouses are overpriced. I'm not a coffee drinker but on rare occasions have chai tea. I'm sick of seeing Starbucks on every corner...it's amazing that they all get business.
