Mr fujiwara rain - look at his brain full with a living worm
well i am not really sure why do they like sushi but must e tasty. I never tried any sushi yet and think i would never want to try it. A friend who is doing tuna exporting to japan for sashimi products told me that japanese eat sushi because they find that the fish fat which is from the raw fish when put under their tongue will melt slowly and it's tasty according to them. Healthy?..I can say that we will get the protein directly from the fish because it is rawly eaten. But there are a risk to eat raw fish/meat - always remember that raw meat or fish contain a bacteria and small worm which will never die unless if we cook them. So in the case of sushi i can say that the worm is still there even after being mixed with the wasabe and other lime juice - because you wouldn't eat too much wasabe because rather than the meat/fish is cook your tongue also get cook due to the hot taste. I have started a discussion about eating sushi. My discussion also supported by a picture of a japanese men who love to eat sushi. check the discussion here http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/846875.aspx This men loves to eat sushi and finally find that his brain filled with a living worm that believed to be from the sushi which he ate every day. so be careful here - always remember that it is better to cook our food before eating them.

i do eat sushi sometimes but my hubbey loves sushi -- nigiri toro mostr of the time, its fresh tuna meat it im not mistaken. but as i check YES it is healty, very nutritious due to the fact that it is naturally low in fat, hign in protein, carbohydrates and vitamins. i ask him why does he love eating it, coz most of the time im not into eating raw dishes. he just cant expalin it he just like eating it with a lot of wasabi.

It is healthy if the fish is fresh enough. Some kinds of fish are cooked before being made into sushi. The wasabi (Japanese horseradish) is a strong enough seasoning to kill germs. It is also a good decongestant. Next time you have a cold, sniff some wasabi. It will clear your sinuses and help you breathe.

Yes, its healthy. You would be surprised how good some of it actually is. I'm not sure, but I think they use some kind of spice or something that "cooks" the fish to get the germs or whatever out, but it doesn't actually cook the fish. Does that make since?
