I'm not afraid of being fat. . .I'm already there! Back when I was in my twenties I was a size 2 and life experiences and depression didn't help me at all. I'm one of those binge eaters when I'm upset. But now I have cut out all sodas and make a conscience effort to eat healthier. So far I have lost 40 lbs. I'm very proud of myself. I'm trying not to get caught up in the whole diet thing. That tends to just depress me even more so I just make better choices. Having three kids is my exercise program! They keep me moving constantly!

I wouldn't want to be fat or obese but I wouldn't want to be very skinny either.
It would be too unhealthy to be really fat or obese, not to mention it'd be difficult for me to buy any clothes. Being too skinny isn't good either. It's ugly when one's bones are sticking out like a victim of starvation. Basically, either of these 2 extremes is very unhealthy.
I think the most important thing is to stay healthy. So it's good to exercise and ensure that one gets good nutrition.

At this time, I will consider myself much too fat. I must find ways to lose 15 kilograms of my body weight. I have tried eating fruits and vegetables to constitute most of my diet and water and non fat milk, too. Why I don't achieve this yet is most probably because I am advanced in age and hence, my metabolism is no longer the way it used to be. I was told that the reason why I have added more weight is because, I have gone lax with my exercises. May be I will have to pick on up again to be fit. This will require much self discipline considering that I always feel tired lately.

Yes, being fat really isn't cool! It makes one feel inferior, reduces self confidence and belief, prevents one from wearing hot & sexy dresses and above all, increases the chances of getting serious diseases that can affect the health very badly.
Like you, I too am afraid of being fat! I am slightly overweight but I have a good personality and I look good due to it. At times, I add on some extra pounds and thats what I really hate. So I go for some small exercises and they help me to get back in my usual shape!

Not really..., I would want to gain back some weight though. But not fats. I used to do regular workouts in a gym then. But ever since I stopped, I began losing the muscle mass I gained. I would love to go back exercising but work makes it hard to do so.

I like to loose more weight but the weight lost is always from waist up. Grrr. The loss is always at the wrong places.
I dislike my tummy and bum and do modified sit-ups to strengthen the abdominal muscles and straight leg raise to tighten the bum muscles. These are all I can do as I do not have the energy to jog. Thankfully I can walk to the nearby
shopping centers. It is a form of exercise.

Hi cherriemae,
Keep up the good work on your weekly excercise! I worry about gaining weight too...I get plenty of excercise and TRY to eat healthy but in a such a busy world, thats hard to do sometimes. I think its important to set a resonable goal for yourself and stay positive. Obviously weight loss is important to you and Im sure you will be wearing those sexy dresses very soon. You have admitted you need to lose weight and you know what you have to do...that's a huge step, losing they weight is the easy part. As for the sexy dresses...I beleive a woman is sexy for they way she carries herself, not her clothes. Don't get frusterated and quite...you'll be feeling sexy in no time.

Yes I know what you mean. I am fat and have been trying to loose weight but at a stand still. Have been excercising every day at curves for 30 minutes. I lost about 20 pounds a while back and now cant seem to get no where. Any suggestions would be great.

I'm not afraid of being fat, I am fat! I've tried many diets over the past three years. I've even tried Weight Watchers. I lost six pounds the first week I did it, but then after that I kind of just stopped trying. I have a problem with food and television. If I'm sitting in front of the television, I feel like I need to be doing something, so I'll go make myself something to eat. I'm breaking that habit by doing other things while I'm watching television. I do some filing, I get a jump start on my homework or I'll do Sudoku. I need to exercise more but with my schedule its hard to fit a workout in. Eventually I will get a routine down that I can stick to and I will be as thin as I want to be!! Congrats on losing the weight, keep it up!

yes i'm afraid of being fat again.. i'm trying to lose couple of pounds to get back on curvy shapes again. or to fit my old, sexy pants again. while i'm young, it's better to work out regularly and eat less. take time, no hurry else i might get back on gaining again. i've been losing and gaining so many times. when i was 16, i used to jog around the park with a friend and eats only salad for dinner for 8months, i lost 45lbs. it was hard, super hard. now i'm trying to do other way of getting on diet. like eat less and work out daily, it's all i can do do in a healthy way.
