you might loose a good amount, but diets arent good. cause you tend to starve your body of necessary nutrients that you usually get from the foods that your cutting out. and unless you continue this diet your entire life, you'll just gain the weight back in the end when you stop it. i suggest something like the best life "diet" aka. oprah's wieght lose program. its on her website. you should check it out. and also, you DO NOT look like you need to loose wieght.

I depends on your body, metabolism, exercise, how much water you drink and what you eat. I would say you will probably lose at least 3 pounds the first week.

What diet are you following exactly? Keep us updated, maybe in two weeks and a month so we know how you're doing :)

As long as your output is more than your input - then any diet should work! There is really no easy way out - you got to exercise!!! Anyone who tell you different is selling you a dream.

I lost over half a stone when I turned vegan, however since starting the diet I have discovered lots of fatty vegan foods like soya cheese, cream, yogurt etc and still munch my way through lots of crisps and chips so have put it back on!
It is a good way to lose weight but make sure you don't cut out all your fats as you need the oil from nuts, seeds and beans to give you a good diet.

They must have better cheeses, yogurts, and creams over there... the ones I've tried are so nasty that I couldn't possibly gain any weight from eating them.
I could totally gain a ton of weight though being vegan, if I lived next to a vegan restaurant and didn't have to cook for myself. Today I ate 3 lunches in one sitting because I couldn't decide on just one entree! I am horrible.

If you want to lose weight by becoming a vegan, you will have to stay a vegan to keep the weight off. You can expect to lose quite a bit of weight though (at least 10 pounds), just be careful that you don't become a "junkatarian", that's what my mom used to call me when I was a vegetarian but I only ate junk food.
