I know myLot doesn't have the option to insert smileys/ emoticons in our responses or discussions but some of us still use them by bringing together certain characters on our keyboard.
Time and again users have asked why this option doesn't exist here but I guess it isn't allowed for reasons better known to the myLot admin. But we are not here to discuss that, but to know how creative you've been here.
I use :) ;o) ;-D often and you can spot them in my responses as well as discussions. I think smileys convey a lot more than just words. It adds that little extra to the text.
I've come across many other smileys and like them. I of course don't want to copy them, lol so stick to my own.
What kind of smileys do you use in your responses or discussions on myLot..or do you use any at all?

Sorry, I did not try using Simileys in any of the discussion groups. I agree that Simileys convey a lot than words, but it should be used to our dear ones and not in site such as mylot.

Hello greengal, I actually have a lot of emoticons. But here's what I can share
with you. If I'm happy, I'm like this \(*o*)/ If I'm sad, (;.;) or (!_!) If I'm
feeling bored (=.=) If jubilant w(^o^)w. he, he, he...I actually have a lot and
I'm trying to use it from time to time. Here's a wink for you (~_^)

Yes I know that mylot doesn't use the smileys/emoticons so therefore I do not use them, yes smileys do convey a lot more than words at times but I know that mylot would say that is not a true response and I would have to agree with that.

well i don't use any smileys at all, i like animated smileys but the ones you're talking about, the ones you make out of characters, i really don't like those. I don't what i have against them or why i find them so annoying, but i do. I also hate 'lol' for some reason, i never use it, i only use 'haha' if i wanna express laughter.
Now, that being said, i have nothing against people who use smileys or 'lol' so nothing to worry about, i don't mind reading those, just writing them myself. So i hope no one misunderstood me there, everyone can choose what they like and what they don't like right. I love it when friends are open to agreement about disagreement and still be friends.

Gah! I wish we could have animated smileys everywhere! The posts here look so boring! I personally struggle to find the appropriate keyboard smileys most of the time, and end up giving up. Having said that, I tend to use ;P :D lol =( a lot. Always on the lookout for more, but usually of the animated sort!

I wish they did....I love graphics of all kinds! It just makes communication more interesting to me. Maybe things will change and there will be more options in time?

I often use the :),:)) and :D. Sometimes I use the sad ones :( or :((. Less often I use ;), :P and even invented one XP (I use it when someone tells me a killing good joke or when I feel like I'm going to die). Smileys are truly the best "words" to express a feeling.

I use :) and lol a lot of times in my discussions and in my responses. BUt of course, if the subject of my discussion is not something that one can smile of, I put this one :( at the end of my discussion. BUt most often than not, at the end of every topic, i put :) on it. It's just basically one way that people could somehow remind me too. THat i'm a person who easily smile and get touched with life's simplest sweetest ways. :)
