I would just like to raise the issue about gays. Some people, if not many, say that homosexuality is a SIN? and that means all homosexual are sinners?? If you do think they are, then what can you do to get them out from the situation they are into? Do you really think that being gay is a SIn in the eyes of GOD??? Please give your own views and opinion... I would appreaciate your responses.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that being gay is a sin. It is not sinful to be what you were born to be and gay people are born gay, plain as that. I also do not believe that it is sinful for two adults who love one another to engage in physical love. It is completely natural for GLBT people to feel attraction and desire for their own gender. This cannot be wrong. A website that I like to site, for gay people of faith and others who are open minded, is www.gaychristiansurvivors.com . It gives different interpretations of the "clobber verses" in the Bible. If one were to read said verses and the various interpretations with an opened mind, one can see where the held interpretation can be incorrect. Now, I was raised by a Christian minister and biblical scholar. My father accepts my gay brother for all that he is. He has enveloped my brother's partner as a son-in-law, and my brother's partner's kids are my father's grandkids. My father taught me his interpretations of scripture, but encouraged me to find the meaning on my own. common sense tells me that gay people are born gay. As a woman who believes in God, I do not believe that God created a people a certain way and then condemned them for it. So, I have to say that common sense tells me that it cannot be wrong to be gay or to look for love amoung your own gender if you are gay.
I'll step off my soap box now.

This is an excellent post and deserved to be rated plus for me (which I did). I visited the website you gave and plan on bookmarking it. I agree with the story of Sodom and Gomorrah not being about homosexuality. If the men in these cities were homosexual, the man who offered his daughters to them, would have offered their fiances instead. In the culture at that time, the sons-in-law were under the father of the bride's control. That is strange, but interesting.

Why is it considered to be a sin? What is wrong with 2 people doing something they want to do with each other and not hurting anyone else.

I don't think of them as sinners, no love can be bad, with all the hatred in the world today, love no matter what kind has got to be good, I don't think they can help the way they feel so that can't be a sin. I say live and let live...all love is beautiful

I personally do not think they are sinning. You cannot help who you fall in love with. Homosexually is something so "taboo" in our society. I don't understand why people can't accept something just because it says in the bible that it is wrong.

Homosexuaity is natural. "Sin" is not a scientefic term. It refers to a religious point of wiev. I believe that our brains make us religious, and God is in brains. We create religion and "sin". It is totally irrelevat to ask if anything is sin or not. Sin is determined by whims of people who onsider themselves as "religious" .

I personally don't believe it to be a sin and well I really don't believe in god. I believe in finding inner peace rather than trying to make my outside world peaceful if I have inner peace then that will translate out into the world and well I am a Homosexual so I don't see as anything being wrong with it but if you believe in a god and all then I guess you would call it a sin and all becaues john and some of the aposles brought it up in there books but jessus never did so who knows what "God" thinks of it.

Being gay isn't a sin. I'm sure many people view it that way, but they are just scared of something because they fear it. because they dont understand it. So they put the label of being a sin, or wrong on it to "protect" themselves.
I am of the opinion that everyone is entitiled to their own opinions, but if they offend people, you should generally keep them to yourself! I mean, if everyone did that, the world would be a much better place.

I dont think gays are sinners. We all sinners, were also human like them. It's just they only gays, having their own perception in their lives. We cant stop them to be gay because that's they wanted and it's their life. I prefer to have a gay brother than having a brother that is not responsible. Because most gays are more responsible than straight ones, right?

I am not a very religious person. I don't go to church, I don't read the bible..but if someone asked me if I believed in Heaven and God I would say yes.
And I do not believe that people who choose to live life like this are really sinners. I have had this conversation with my sister already. I told her that God is not a racist, sexist or prejudice guy...so i don't think he considers gays as sinners. I always get annoied when people say bad things about others who don't deserve to be ridiculed
