coffee mugs: do you have one just exclusively yours?

I used to work in a company years ago and I remember a new employee came in and during break periods, he would just get any mug he could get hold of and use it to the annoyance of the rest of us. Later on he was diagnosed to have a certain kind of respiratory disease and asked for a leave of absence and finally decided not to return to work anymore. I remember people buying new coffee mugs after that incident. Do you mind if other people use your coffee mug?

I don't mind. After all, we drink in restaurants and bars from cups, mugs and glasses. At home I have my favorite cup, but I don't mind to share it with my boyfriend.

Right, we couldn't imagine how many people have used the glasses we are using in restaurants but it is comforting to know that most restaurants are using modern technologies in cleaning up and disinfecting glasses and stuff.

I don't work so I have to say no. I just have hubby and kids here at home. At work, my husband has a locker that he keeps his in. I think he would mind. Germs and all that! He gets sick if anyone just breathes on him.

Some people are more sensitive than others and extra care must be taken everytime. That locker helps to make things private and prevent others from using personal things.

I have two coffee mugs I keep at school. One is for my coffee in the morning and the other is for my Coke Zero in the afternoon! I keep my coffee mugs in my classroom so no one will use them. I bought them, they are mine and I don't use other people's mugs. If I have an extra mug lying around I don't mind letting others use it but not my two special mugs.

I know exactly how you feel when your personal, favorite mug is used by someone else. I just hate it. I have one that I just use myself and it's always in my room so the people know that it's mine and mine alone. I wasn't really aware of passing the bug around but now I have just learned or realized another valid importance of having a mug for oneself. Manong, maybe you can put a sticker in your mug that says, "warning, owner has a virus!" So suckers don't just use it. LOL!

I have my personal mug since the very first day I started working and it has a *MARIBEL* on both sides to denotes who is the owner lol!! There was one time that my mug was missing during a luch break and my eyebrows really reach the ceiling with anger lol!! next day I tag my mug with * you touch, you die* from then on nobody dares to touch it.

I think if I had a specific coffee mug for me at work, then I would mind if someone else used it. At home or if there was a dishwasher at work, I wouldn't mind if someone used the coffee mug I used as long as they washed it throughly when they were done with it.
