i think spansih guitars are always better as they are so meledious and they can even be converted to some extend into electric guitars by only 1 chord and an amplifier!

My favorite kind of guitar is actually in between. The electric acoustic! You can play it as a plain acoustic guitar, but if you want you can amplify it and add effects and they can sound really good.

Is a Spanish guitar different from a regular acoustic? I always thought they were the same thing, except the Spanish has nylon strings and the acoustic has metal ones.

You can't compare apples and oranges. It's the same thing with the Spanish guitar and electric guitar. Spanish guitars are used for their distinctive tone that would be suited for soft, melodious kinds of music. On the other hand, the electric guitar is so design to rise above the volume levels used in rock music.

I like electric guitars better, because of the multiple effects you can have. what can I say, I like the noise. :)

It depends on what you are using for. Electric's are more versatile and easier to play. Nylon's sound better for certain types of music and you don't need an amp. If I had to choose just one guitar, it would be electric...I'm glad I don't have to.:)
