this the question just like are educated people are more prone to have dengue. have u heard in last endemic of dengue that relatives of renowned politician suffered it. like dengue depression is also a medical condition and it is a proven fact. it is caused by decrease in serotonin , dopamin, and other neuroreceptors in brain.

Yes I think it is true, but I think it may have more to do with the high IQ then educated in the true sense as the people tend to think more and look at minor things and feel bad about small things or brood over the smallest things, which people with average intelligence may not worry they will just overlook it and won't be bothered and be happy in general, so the educated people look to be more depressed

More intelligent people probably look at life a little deeper than the average person, see more, feel more, and are sometimes overwhelmed by all of the stimulus. The average person is much more surface oriented and doesn't llok too close at life.

Your question "Are educated people more depressed?". Depression is not something generated by education. I dont know in what sense you post your question. But I think you want to say much we know keep us more depressed. Like people reading newspapers daily and knows the alarming situations all over the world would be more depressed.

Not only that. Just think , why people say -- Ignorance is bliss! Even if you drink a poison without knowledge, you may survive. Once you know it is a killing poison for sure, your thoughts will kill you faster with a heart attack. This is one of the examples.

I guess not. This is a good point though, we may seem to be more prone to depression because we know what's depressing or not. I'd like to think of it as...."we're more compassionate and caring" about things around us.
