There are three sites that can help you create your own Family Web page. myfamily.com point and click to build a family tree, create a recipe book, post news, share photos, and set up a family-history archive. You can log on to look up a birthday on your family's personal calendar. You can also see if other relatives are online and cyber-chat in real time. There is one downer...the graphics library is limited tripod.com you can tell the whole gang about your summer vacation. You can create a vacation page with text and photos. Another template lets you announce your baby's birth. When your pictures are the main attraction, you can have a slide show. geocities.com Pagewizard at this site helps beginners. You click on a design you like, answer a few questions and the tool builds the page for you. When you become more confident you can use the Page Builder to customize the look. Kids like the cartoon themes, like Hello Kitty. You can link hundreds of pages to your site and keep track of visitors. Just thought you might like to know about these. Any reviews of any of them. I have a geocities and am not happy with it.

I haven't actually done this but, it sounds quite good it is just finding the time. With being a mum finding extra time to do things is not always easy.

I had no idea there were sites like that out there. I'm going to check out myfamily.com soon and see what I can do to set up a site for our family. Thanks for the info.

I created websites with both tripod and geocities when I first got the internet years ago, but both are long gone now. I don't recall if I ever created one on myfamily, but if I did, I'm sure it is gone by now too. I have been thinking about starting over and making one again.

I knew about geocities and used it for sometime ,but haven't been there in a long time.I used it once later to create a webpage when I didn't know about blogging .I am hearing about the other ones for the first time.Just checked out myfamily.com and also found the link to ancestory.com.Both seem very interesting.I don't know if it's possible to look around before creating an account. Will try though. Thanks for sharing Willow.
