Is it better to blend in or to stick out?

What I mean by this is, if everyone all agrees on something, would you agree with them even though your opinion is different? Alot of people out there would choose to blend in with the crowd. Right? I probaly would too. What would you choose?

I personally will usually voice my opinion even though it is not what everyone else thinks. I get into discussions all of the time about my parenting techniques and how I am raising my child. I think that if you voice your opinion someone else in the group may think like you but does not want to be the first one to say it. It may also get some of the other people to really think about what you said and maybe do some research on certain topics.

No, I definitely believe in standing up for what I believe in. even if it means 'standing out' from the crowd. I like to be myself and so I wont jump on the bandwagon just to please others. However, one needs to realize that there is a difference between simply stating your beliefs and being controversial. I try to analyze the responses of others and try to find a common ground and then I outline my beliefs and give the reason. That way people will respect your opinions.

I think most of the time it is better and alot easier to just blend in with the others. It causes to much conflict when you stand outside of the crowd. If you truly believe standing on your own is better, then that is what i would do. I know I have been an odd ball all of my life and I have tried very hard to meet someone who is like me and shares the same views and outlook on things that I do. I have yet to find someone like that. I try my best to fit in or blend in with others when I have to, but if I do not have to, I just be myslef and I am very happy with that.

That is what makes this world go around is the fact that everyone has a right to their own opinion. So it would not matter to me if everyone else agreed on something. I would disagree if I had a different outlook on it.

Stick out, men! i won't compromise my point only just because I'm not having the same idea with the others.

I agree with the two previous responders... It is (usually) best to state your own opinion, even if it's not the popular choice. There are times, however, when it's best to stick with the majority.
