What book store do you prefer shopping at? I like Barns and Knoble, a independently owned one call Katy Budget Books, Half price books, Books a million and so forth. I am a book junky and a readaholic. I really love shopping at Katy Budget Books; they have great deals and you are able to get credit.

I have never been a book reader but sometimes I think how nice on a cold day it would be to sit in the warm and read a nice book but then the computer came in and I just don't have the timeanyway, the computer wins everytime...

Honestly, I prefer Amazon.com. LOL
I like being able to look at everything online. And I am pretty happy with them too! They deliver quickly! And if one orders anything 25 dollars and over, it is free shipping. :)
But there is also a local used book store here also that I like to shop at.
Why not pay half the price for a book to add to my collection?
And better yet, I can look up online to see if they have a book in stock!

I belong to two book clubs, Mystery Guild and Doubleday Book Club, so I usually order my books online. The cost is less than at a bookstore. But if I just can't make myself wait that long, I go to the local B. Dalton's, or a little out of the way store called The Bookworm--you can trade in books at that one for money or other books.

barnes and noble is the best there is. i love the feel of the place. amazon.com is another go one. what i do is save all my change for a month then turn it in a my local coinstar to get a giftcard for amazon and with free shipping on over $25 i practicly get all my new releases free and still able to support my favorite authors. but the best book store is in my old townof jensen beach,fl. it is called jensen beach book exchange or maggies junktique. it is a book store/ antique store. the store has rows of 7 feet high shelves just filled with millions of books at a great priece. so if you ever visit that part of florida it is a must stop.

I prefer to buy my books online at amazon.co.uk. They normally have the lowest prices IMO.

We buy our books at Library Book Sales and attend a book trading site. I buy some from half.com and Ebay. Most though do come from those Library Book sales. I hope you find all the books you need to keep you busy. I just cannot pay those prices for books.

My favourite bookshops are charity ones as you can get some good bargains but also know you are giving money to a good cause.
I also like getting books off ebay and the book people (http://www.thebookpeople.co.uk) as they are both cheap.

I love Powell's in Portland, Oregon. It has several floors with books on every subject imaginable. When you get tired of browsing, you can stop by their little gourmet coffee and goodie shop to rest for a while.
They carry new books and used books at reasonable prices, and have a site online where you can check to see if a book you want is available or not. I believe you can order online also.
They also have a technical bookstore about a half block away for those of you who are interested in that type of thing, and another outlet, not quite so large at Beaverton, Oregon, a few miles away. Great store.

I love just hanging at Barnes & Nobles and drinking my cafe latte! I can spend a whole afternoon there and in the Autumn I was addicted to the pumpkin spice latte....and happily drank it while perusing the self help section of the store!

When shopping online I always use Amazon because the prices are usually cheaper. If I'm looking for discount books I go to discount books. Used books borders, and just browsing usually borders.

I have bought from Barnes and Noble before, but mostly from Amazon when I purchase online. When I go to a bookstore I go to Waldenbooks and Borders. I occasionally visit Empire Books once in a while.
