I hate it when your clothes pile up with ( a week and a halfs worth) and then you go down stairs to clean them. It took me all day on friday to clean the suckers and still there are some others that need to be cleaned. Then I have about 3 loads (large) to iron! Man o man. I feel like I should be getting paid to do this, ya know.

I don't let my washing pile up. Everynight I collect all the clothes and put them straight in the machine and then as soon as it is full I put it on. Then you never have lots of outstanding stuff to wash. As to ironing I just don't bother with it. I don't think it is that important.

I hate doing laundry also, especially since our dryer has been placed outside, which means if it is raining you are going to get wet with a basketful of clean WET laundry, needless to say I do laundry daily and if something needs to be pressed I do it right then instead of waiting. Perhaps when you catch up you might want to do what I did when I was working out the home and that was do a load every evening and would put the evening laundry in the dryer in the morning, at least you get a head start on something that is not a fun task for you.

Oh my god! I would jump out a window if I had ten loads of clothes to do! I don't even buy clothes that need t obe ironed! I have three loads to do today because I have bedding that needed doing. I don't mind really, although geting them line dried can be a bit of a problem. I hope the weather stays good today and I shuld be ablt to get the whole mess in by dinnertime.

So Understand...I hate that. I have just me and my son and it seems like he goes through socks so much and I feel like I just did laundry...I hate it. It's like a never ending battle. I can't win, you know. I just wish someone would do it for me.

I understand where you are coming from. I know that this is what my other half & me are going through currently. All of the clothes we had ended up piling up over the last week or so & now we are doing them tonight.. And I know they are going to take a rather long time to get done. There is like a garbage bag full of clothes that we had to take to the laundry mat to get done tonight. Thank goodness they have big washers so we can fit all of our clothing in it. Because if weren't able to do this we would have to put them in two washers just to get them done. They also have rather large dryers as well so I am just glad that we we're able to put our clean clothing in one dryer all together.. Instead of doing separate drys. I know that a lot of our clothing is going to take forever to fold tonight. And then like you I am going to have to as well iron them to. So I may end up having my hands full the rest of the evening that's for sure having to do all of those things. So I understand how you feel when it comes to this.. I dislike having to do large loads of laundry.. After going through all of this I don't think we are going to allow this to happen again anytime soon. I don't want to have to go through doing laundry until late hours in the night. It's a set back that's for sure. I know that I usually don't mind doing laundry. But I am still in shock that my other half & me had allowed it to go this long. Do you think after having to go through all of this laundry? That you won't allow it to happen again? I don't think I could handle doing that much laundry all over again. I just can't believe how much clothes my other half had gone through. It seems like more of his clothing are in the laundry then mine. I think it's because he goes to work each day & he gets rather dirty. It's just crazy how much clothes a person can go through.. In conclusion.. After going through this much clothes.. And having to wash, then dry, then fold all of our clothes.. And then on top of it iron a large majority of the clothes.. I don't think we will let it go as long as we had.. I would much rather us start doing our laundry every four to five days.. As I am in shock of how much clothes we're left in the laundry that we had to do this time around.. I know I am not going to allow this to happen again as it is so exhausting to do all that laundry all at once! . . Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I know how you feel, I keep telling myself if I do at least one load a day then I won't have to spend a whole day or more trying to catch up with it all but it never seems to work out. The worst days are when the kids tidy their bedrooms as there always seems to be a mountain of clothes appear outside the girls bedroom even although they have a washing basket there for their dirty stuff. As for ironing, well I tend to only iron things if they really need it and that is mostly the kids polo shirts for school.

I wash clothes everyday so I got no problems with tons of loads..BUT I got lots of things to iron because I only iron on the weekends. Usually, after the the clothes dry, I put them on hangers or fold them right away so not that many wrinkles. But there are really clothes that needed to be ironed. I symphatize with you. I had that experience before when I was so busy with the new baby and everything...I got tons of things to wash and boy, it is a wholeday affair.

I know what you mean, and I use to be just like you but I got myself into the habit of doing a load every day.....now I have no surprises waiting for me and when the kids ask why a certain piece of clothing isn't clean,I tell them because it wasn't dirty enough to walk down the stairs on it's own

This is why I almost always have a load in the washer or dryer. I used to be able to let it pile up, then I'd be miserable trying to get it all caught up. Finally I learned to keep up with it. It's so much easier now. I barely even have to think about it. :-) I still run into your problem when I need to wash everyone's bed linens or camping stuff. Thankfully that doesn't happen very often.

Yes, I do know. LOL I have seven children and I can not go too long without doing a load of laundry. If I do not do a load of laundry every couple of days, I would be at it for an entire weekend! ha ha Even today, my partner thought that we would have to stay home today because he has that our laundry basket needed to be taken down stairs. It was very offensive how he thought I had been doing laundry! And as it turned out, there were only 3 loads to do...that was after getting all the kids to bring down their laundry. :P To him. ha ha

I feel for you. I do Laundry on Wednesdays and Saturday's. If for some reason that we can't wash on Saturday's, then I'm behiind all week. Wednesday, is my day off, and I refuse to go anywhere. That's my laundry day and my cleaning house day. I change the sheets on all the beds, so I will remember how long they've been on. I can't stand to sleep on dirty sheets! yuck.
