My daughter had chapped cheeks for a while when it got cold and windy here. I used Aquaphor Baby a few times a day and it helped cure it. It is thick like vaseline but it absorbs into the skin. It is very gentle on your skin, they also have regular Aquaphor but I know that the baby one has less chemicals. Also if you take an oatmeal bath that is suppose to work. Good luck and let us know what works best.

Hi! I also experienced that during the first days of winter here. I'm Asian so I'm not so adjusted to the weather here in the U.S., and my skin has dried terribly. My sister who's a doctor recommended Curel lotion (the Ultra-healing variant). It really worked well for me. It can be used for the whole body and is safe for use in the face as well. Good luck!

No, No, No, baby.........
Not lotion!
You should not have to wait for some guy from Canada to give you this answer. You should know it..
The thing you should use on your stunning face is coconut oil!
It is about the only product besides mothers milk that has lauric acid in it.
This amazing product(that I might add comes from your corner of the world)can be used in your hair, in your cooking and on your skin.
Some Asian women coat their hair in coconut oil and wrap it over night and shampoo it out in the morning. It is supposed to be really remarkable for restoring your hair and adding shine.
So you turn off that computer now and run out and get yourself some organic coconut oil and let it work for you!!
Then tomorrow come back and tell us myloters how good it worked......

I have read an article about dry skin on a fashion magazine, and they say that a lotion with goat's milk and vitamin E really solves dry skin. And of course drink plenty of water and have a healty diet, you wont be needing those exfoliating whatever... too technical for me:-)

Yup, it's easily curable. My wife also suffers from dry skin due to the climate change here in the UK. She also comes from Asia (Indonesia) where it is humid and the air is nearly always moist. She now uses E45 cream which seems to work, if you need to use a stronger cream, then go for Hc45 cream which is a hyrdo-cauterzone cream with plenty of water in the ingredients to help your skin regain some moisture.
hope this helps you baby88.

start by hyrating from the inside. Drink alot of extra water. I mean alot of water. Apply lotion every chance you get, preferably a healing/moisturising one. Avoid taking extra showers and bathes and the ones you do take, make sure the water is just warm not hot. As soon as you step out of the shower, put lotion on, dont pat dry or anything, start the lotion on your skin, it helps put the moisture back in.
I have really dry skin and thats what helps me.

When your skin gets dry it means the cells of your skin are loosing water on more higher average. Try drinking water a little more everyday. A human must minimum drink 8 glasses of water in one day whether is hot or cold weather. With this also try putting on some cold creme and try eating cucumbers as they are cool.
