How many alphabets are there in your mother tongue

Which language has got the maximum number of alphabets and which one got the minimum. I guess English has the least number of 26 alphabets and that is why it is the most simplest language.

My mother tongue is Hindi, even though I am not very good at it. It has around 54 alphabets, but I am not very sure.

my mother tongue is telugu and it gas got 64 alphabets!!!!

What about other south indian languages? Do you have any idea of Kannada or Tamil?
